Since yarns are packaged differently-- in balls, skeins, or wound around cardboard tubes or cones-- some pack down more easily than others; we may be able to fit 10 balls of a very soft yarn into a small envelope, but only 3 or 4 of a yarn on cardboard tubes (even though the balls are the same weight as the softer yarn). PLEASE understand if your shipping cost is higher than the estimate shown on the product page-- the calculator doesn't know in advance how many balls you're ordering.
