Grading System

As a fellow LaserDisc Collector, nothing irritates me more than spending my hard-earned money on that elusive "Near Mint" LaserDisc that I have been in search of since last year...eagerly opening that package, only to find that it has arrived with creased corners, split seams and a cracked disc...leaving you to ponder why you keep on wasting your money ordering from unknown sources on the Internet or eBay.

This was the premise for creating the industry's most thorough and accurate LaserDisc Jacket Grading System. Now you, the collector, will know exactly what you will be getting when that package arrives at your door...guaranteed!

As for the LaserDiscs themselves...we guarantee that you will never receive a LaserDisc with laser rot, chips, cracks or deep scratches. Every LaserDisc that we offer must go through a very thorough Quality Control Inspection Process prior to being accepted into inventory, and then again prior to being shipped, thus insuring that you will receive the highest quality LaserDiscs in the industry.

* {Perfect For Framing}: "Viewable Area" is Pristine & Defect-Free! (Collector Quality)

* {Recommended For Framing}: "Viewable Area" is near mint and still highly desirable for framing! The luster may not be as perfect as when it was new, or there may be very light imperfections present, such as a wrinkle or two near the edges. Would have to look closely to notice any imperfections.

* {Frameable}: "Viewable Area" is in excellent condition and would look great framed; however, the "Viewable Area" may have slight defects such as a crease or a few slight wrinkles, a sticker removal mark, or lower luster than when it was new. It is guaranteed not to have any major defects in the "Viewable Area" such as a hole-punch,  or stickers that won't come off. Any LD Jackets in this category are NOT perfect, but would still look great framed if you do not care about the possible imperfections mentioned above.

* {Not Recommended For Framing}: "Viewable Area" is NOT suitable for framing (In Our Opinion), because of multiple imperfections such as a hole-punch, moderate creasing or multiple sticker removal marks that tear through the picture.

• NEW Mint: Brand New & Factory Sealed with no defects. (Collector Quality) {Perfect For Framing}
  
• NEW Near Mint: Factory Sealed. May have very minor wrinkles and/or very minor seam splitting under the shrink wrap. {Recommended For Framing}
• USED Near Mint: Opened and very gently used. May have very minor wrinkles and/or very minor seam splitting. {Recommended For Framing}
  
• NEW Excellent: Factory Sealed. May have some minor creasing and/or split seams under the shrink wrap. {Frameable}
• USED Excellent: Opened and gently used. May have some minor creasing and/or split seams. {Frameable}
  Box Set may have a split corner or two, but neatly taped.
• NEW Good: Factory Sealed. May have some moderate to heavy creasing and/or split seams under the shrink wrap. May have stickers, sticker removal marks, hole-punch. {Not Recommended For Framing}
• USED Good: Opened and moderately used. May have some moderate to heavy creasing and/or split seams and other signs of moderate to heavy usage, such as a hole-punch, clipped corner, stickers, sticker removal mark(s).  It may have been a previous rental (If known, we will say so) The disc(s) may look worn or scratched a bit, but still play as they should. {Not Recommended For Framing}
  
• Poor: Opened and pretty much not usable. May be heavily ripped and torn, or may have water damage. (We will never sell any LaserDiscs rated in this category.)
