STEP #1: Make A List
The first thing you need to do is compile a list of the titles that you wish to sell.
Please be as specific as possible with your list so we can put together an accurate and honest bid. Please include the following pertinent information and details.
• Catalog Number (Located on left Spine) (examples: ML123001 or ID12345WS)
• New (Factory Sealed) or Used
• Condition (Please list any defects such as bent corner, hole punch, stickers or seam split on top)
Please note that we are mainly buying Rare LaserDiscs & DVD's, Music & Concerts LaserDiscs, Horror Collections, Sci-Fi, Cartoons, Box Sets, AC-3, DTS, Criterion, Roan Group and "B" Movies. So, if your collection is comprised of mainly newer common titles from the 80’s-2000’s, and does not have a good mix of any the above, chances are that we will not be interested in buying them. Please note that we will only buy LaserDiscs that are in excellent shape with no previous rentals, holepunches, stickers, clipped corners, or multiple bend or splits. We only buy LaserDiscs that are near mint or better. We only buy region 1 DVD's that are original releases (No Bootlegs). The cases and inserts must be included and the discs must be clean and free of scratches.
Please Note: If you are inquiring about selling an AC-3 RF Demodulator or a Pioneer Elite LaserDisc Player, please include the Make and Model Number, the Serial Number, Condition (Be Specific), any known defects or marks such as scratches or dents, and whether or not it includes the owners manual, service manual and remote control. Please let us know how much you are asking for each product you are trying to sell.
Step 2: Contact LaserDisc Vault

When sending your list, be sure to include your Name, Email Address and Phone Number so we can contact you.
Step 3: Getting a Quote from LaserDisc Vault
Once we receive your list, our professional buyer will get back to you with an offer for the entire collection, or for selected items within your collection. (Please let us know in your original email to us if you would be willing to sell selected items from your collection or not). We will get back to you within 24 hours letting you know that we have in fact received your list. Please allow us at least 2-3 days for your list to be reviewed and a response to be sent concerning an offer on your collection. Offers are calculated based on our market knowledge, what we have sold it for in the past and the going prices and desirability in today’s market. As a general guideline, most laserdiscs are generally worth around $0.50-$2.00 each. Some may be valued slightly higher, which is why we ask that you be specific in your list that you send to us for evaluation.
Once you receive our offer, please contact us and let us know if you would like to accept our offer or if you would like to discuss anything about our offer.
Step 4: I have Received your Offer…NOW WHAT!
If you accept our offer, the procedure for completing the transaction is as follows:
1. Email us at purchasing@laserdiscvault.com , stating that you are accepting our offer and whether you wish to have store credit or receive a cash payment.
2. Ship the discs to:

Ship them to us via any method you choose, but we recommend that you choose a carrier and an option that can be tracked. They must be packed very carefully using a lot of extra padding and bubble wrap and protection for the corners so they do not get damaged. We highly recommend shipping in an oversized box as well…double boxing is even better. You should also insure them so that in the event that they arrive damaged, you can file a claim with the carrier for a refund. We will reject any boxes that are visibly damaged upon arrival due to their negligence or yours. Please include the original list that you sent to us so that we can check it against what actually arrived. Please make sure that you include your name, address and phone number with the shipment.
AGAIN…PLEASE TAKE CARE IN PACKAGING YOUR TITLES TO INSURE THEIR SAFE ARRIVAL. DAMAGED TITLES WILL BE REMOVED FROM YOUR QUOTE AND YOUR PAYMENT WILL BE DECREASED AND CAN BE DELAYED. ALSO WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE AND RETURN ANY PRODUCT THAT IS NOT IN THE CONDITION DESCRIBED IN YOUR LIST.
Step #5: Getting Paid
Once we receive your shipment, we will notify you via email and give you an estimated date of payment. We generally take 3-5 business days to inspect all merchandise and verify that everything is there and that there are no discrepancies or damaged product.
During the Inspection Process, we will remove titles that we find to be defective (cracks, playback errors, excessive wear & tear etc.) and deduct their value from the final payment(s). We will contact you if there are any defects, let you know what they are and what the change in payment is. Any defective titles can be returned to you with your payment if you so desire.
Cash payments are made out in the form of a Company Check and mailed to the address you provide. You can also choose to have us send you your money via Paypal. Store Credit is emailed to you in the form of a Gift Certificate with a personalized Redemption Code for future purchases.
