I will be discontinuing the grading system in favor of a much better system. Starting shortly, you'll be able to HEAR what you will be buying. I realize that a grading system is very arbitrary and subjective (One person's VG is another one's VG-). So, from now on, just click on the 'HEAR IT' button and an mp3 of the song will play. It will be encoded at 96kbps for now. I anticipate spending a lot of time uploading these mp3s to the server so I may have to compromise on the encoding process later on to save on time. Also, I will not upload the 'version' or b side unless it is a different song. I know often times the 'a' and 'b' side are of different quality sonically, but that does not happen often. For LPs, I will upload only the first song on side A, or the song that was popular on the lp, and I will continue to describe the jacket.
VERY IMPORTANT!! Please bear in mind that the worst possible way to deliver audio on the internet is in mp3 format, especially encoded at 64-96 kbps. There is no substitute for a PCM wave file. Unfortunately, the size is way too large to upload here. So sonic quality will be greatly compromised as you listen to these sound clips.
This rating is for Cover/Record. M = mint NM/EX/VG++ = awesome condition No scratches or scuff marks. cover is flawless VG+ = great condition, a few marks, but should not affect listening enjoyment VG = very good some scratches and surface noise, but should play well VG- = now we're getting into murky water with amount of scratches and surface noise G = good (means BAD!) basically, to fill a gap in your collection, but will be pretty beat up and sound scratchy, several tracks will skip . P = poor. Record is meant for display only (framed on a wall perhaps) If you are in doubt, please check the scans, they will tell you the condition of the cover |
