Winner: To pay shipping. All items must be paid for within 7 days after the auction ends. We will hold item for 7 days after the auction closes. If payment is not received within that time, a payment reminder will be sent to the winner, followed by a Non-paying Bidder Alert 3 days later. Postage rates rates rose again January 2011. Shipping for International Rates will also be rising on January 2011

Box size also impacts the shipping charge, as any item that is more than 17 inches on one side incurs a significant postal surcharge. Packages larger than a total of 84 inches also incur significant postal surcharges.

 INSURANCE

Insurance is required and recommended on all pakages.  Insurance only covers loss while in transit, not breakage. And they only will insure the first $100.00.

THE ONLY REAL INSURANCE IS THE QUALITY OF PACKING which includes MY SKILL AND CARE, and the MATERIALS USED TO PROTECT YOUR ITEM.

  Have you ever tried filing a claim or have you taken the time read the disclaimers on any major carrier? Most items are not covered for damage by insurance (ONLY against loss in transit by them or paper goods ONLY) ...even though you think you are paying for damage coverage/insurance. Antiques/glass/porcelain/pottery ARE NOT COVERED (on paper) by the insurance....call and ask any carrier if you have questions about what I'm stating here. They will pay the first $100 on just about anything, but not every time.

INSURANCE CLAIMS & RETURNS

To make the transaction secure for both parties, your item/s may be stamped with a removable mark and a numbered sticker/tag as a temporary identification. No returns or insurance claims are allowed without these marks intact so please inspect your item carefully before removing it. I'm an honest seller who stands strongly behind the items auctioned/sold and allow no hassle returns if item is not as described or shown in photo. My reputation means more to me than anyones money!!!

SHIPPING CLAIMS

SHIPPING DAMAGE. IF ANY DAMAGE OR LOSS SHOULD OCCUR WHILE AN ITEM IS BEING HANDLED BY A SHIPPING CONTRATCTOR AND YOUR PACKAGE IS INSURED, PLEASE TAKE PACKAGE WITH ALL CONTENTS IN TO LOCAL POST OFFICE OR (CONTACT UPS, FEDEX, Etc..the carrier you specified for shipment FOR THE REIMBURSEMENT.) SELLER  IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE WHILE IN HANDS OF POST OFFICE OR OTHER SHIPPING CARRIER. NO REFUNDS ON BREAKABLE ITEMS. BUYER MUST FILE A CLAIM WITH POST OFFICE OR OTHER CARRIER IF APPLICABLE.

Shipping costs are non refundable if returning because of "factory" straw marks, bubbles, pot stones or buyers remorse. Any gross imperfections will have been mentioned in the item/s description.

Fraudulent Claims / Scam Artists

To help prevent fraud from scam artists who in indulge in fraudulent claims in an attempt to keep the item and get a refund, too, I do not give refunds, so please do not ask. Scam artists will receive appropriate feedback and be reported.

How Shipping & Handling Costs are Calculated:

The time I spend and the materials I use, help insure that your item will reach you unharmed. I hope you will agree.

The ingredients that go into the cost calculation are: The box, amount of popcorn, styrofoam, foam wrap, tape, bubble wrap, etc... needed to ensure that the box will hold up under pressure from other boxes and any careless handling by the carrier. Also most shippers/carriers of small/medium/not so large packages, recommend that packages/items must be packed to withstand a minimum drop of 18 inches.

Box size, as any item that is more than 17 inches on one side incurs a significant postal surcharge. Packages larger than a total of 84 inches also incur additional charges. Also, a large box can cost as much as $10 and up. (Sometimes I'm able to get these larger boxes from the local grade school which greatly reduces the total shipping cost for you the buyer.)

Box weight and size, which is impacted by both the item purchased AND the quality of cardboard needed to protect the item.

The amount of time it takes to pack the item(s). For instance, it takes nearly an hour or more to properly pack a large set of dinnerware, while it only takes a few minutes to pack a piece of jewelry or a plate.

To help keep packing/shipping costs down, I reuse every box I receive and try to avoid purchasing a special box for particular items. To keep overall costs down, I also make bulk purchases of supplies, such as boxes, bubble wrap, foam wrap, tape and popcorn.

All delicate/fragile items are shipped in foam lined boxes, with plenty of packaging materials i.e. peanuts, bubble wrap, foam wrap etc... I don't skimp!

!*!*!***And finally...  When will your package ship?

I do try to send out the items is timely manner, one to two days after your payment, depending on my schedule. I am the full time care giver for my Husband, who has Multiple Sclerosis. I'm also a Mom taxi to our 3 children.

But most packages usually ship within 1-5 days of receiving your paypal payment, sometimes sooner. Personal checks and money orders have to clear the bank before I send your item. Thank you for your patience!

Overseas, International Bidders: 

Please write for a quote beforehand. So you won't experience shipping shock.

Please be advised that there are only 2 shipping choices for packages heavier than 4 pounds and when the package exceeds 36" total. For overseas/international service, Priority Mail and Express Mail are what the USPS offers.  For packages under 4 pounds and less that 36" total.  First Class International Post will be used.

Postal rates for overseas shipping will rise on January 2009

 Overseas, International Bidders will need to provide a phone number for customs forms!

 Please consider duty charges when bidding. And please don't ask me to falsify customs forms. I won't!
