LITTLE TOYS FOR BIG KIDS

Your favorite toys, books, games, household & railroad items from the 70's, 80's & 90's - AND SO MUCH MORE!...

THUNDERCATS!

My favourite cartoon when I was a kid. Ah...the 80's.

In recent years, I have amassed my collection to include just about every Thundercats item ever made. I have learned so much in the last few years from looking on ebay...like how MANY different Thundercats items are really out there!

(ps. this outdated photo shows only about 10% of my collection; I have a lot more, but no room to display it!)

And yet, I still wasn't happy. I never liked LJN's depiction of the characters. They were close, but no cigar. Not only were the sizes/details/colours sometimes wrong, but there were SO FEW of the characters that were made into action figures. What about all the others?

So...I decided to start making my own. Knowing nothing about customizing action figures, how to cast or any of those other technical details, but I just had to try. And I was settling for nothing short of PERFECTION! A daunting task, but a labour of love.

(ps. this outdated photo shows only about 50% of the customs I have made)

In the last few years, I have many many Thundercats Action Figures. I am very proud to say that all of their sizing is perfect (none are towering over the others, or are midgets) and so are the details. I used many resources, but I am satisfied that they look just about 100% the same as they appeared on TV. And no, I am not a professional toy-maker...I have no 'connections' with toy makers or professional artists (I wish!)...I'm just a regular gal who does this in her spare time because it's FUN

I have made: (in North American Mini figure size) Jaga, Snarfer, Pumyra, Bengali & Lynxo - with their weapons of course.

In the larger, articulated action figure size: Mandora the Evil chaser (and her bike the Electrocharger), Willa the leader of the Warrior Maidens, Snowmeow, Luna, Amok, Chilla, Alluro, Lion-o (from the comic series The Return), Snarfer, young articulated Lion-o (from Exodus); plus the cool, new, improved and proper colour/detail: Mumm-ra the ever living, Lion-o, Panthro, Tygra, Cheetara, one of the Brutemen (who built castle Plundaar for the mutants) and Snowman of Hook Mountain. In the same size, but in the non-articulated version (solid, 1 piece) teenaged Wilykit, young Lion-o, Cheetara and Tygra, plus Wilycub and Wilycat (from the comic series Dogs of War). In the process of being finished are: cool, new, improved and proper colour/detail:  Jacalman, Monkian, A Reptilian henchman, Ratar-o, one of Captain Shiner's crewmen, Claudus (Lion-o's father), Tug Mug, Red Eye, young Panthro and old King Lion-o (from the comic series Dogs of War).

Projects that are going to be started next include: Nayda (warrior maiden), the Unicorn Keepers, the Wollos, the Bolkins, aged Tygra (from the episode the Cave of Time) General Wilykat and King Lion-o (from the comic series Enemy's Pride), the War Dogs (from the comic series the Dogs of War), Ta-she, Mumm-rana the Ever good (in both mummified and non-mummified version; both mini and large size), the Mad Bubbler, a Mole man, Silky (from the Garden of Delights - really Mummra in disguise), Kano (Lion-o's pet on Thundera), a Thunderian guard, Gregory Gregian with his steed-a giant grasshopper (Mumm-ra again), the gargoyles that protected Baron Karnor's castle (in the episode the Tower of Traps), the Thudercats in their Caverns of Cold Thermal Thunderwear suits, and many others.

In short, my goal is to make at least 1 of every character that ever appeared on the show, and if they appeared in another version (ex. old, young, different costumes, etc) then one of each of those as well. I have tons of ideas and no shortage of interest in the project. Now, if only I could figure out the mold making and casting methods, I could make more of my treasures to sell to you - other Thundercats fans!
