Frequently Asked Questions
Q:Do you combine shipping?
A:Shipping can be combined over a 5 day period. Please wait to make a single payment if you would like the combined shipping discount. Otherwise, I may ship out the first card you paid for before you purchase and pay for the second. PayPal also charges sellers fees every time they receive funds.
Q:Does the holder in the scanned picture come with the card?
A:Generally not. I use the holders in the scans for three reasons. First, it protects the card during the scan. Second, it makes scanning easier since I know exactly where to place the card on the scanner every time. Third, it helps show how nice the card looks. If you would like, I can include the holder for an additional $2.50, just ask.
Q:What is your method of packaging?
A:I use a flat-mailer style for cards if possible. The flat method has fewer damage problems than bubble mailers, and I've had extensive experience with both ways. The only complaints I have ever had with the flat style is from a few dealers who can't seem to imagine that a card can be mailed more safely in somthing that is not a bubble mailer.
Q:Why are you selling some cards for more than "book?"
A:In almost all cases there is a reason, but it is usually a waste of time to explain it to the Male Price Whiner who is married to his Beckett. If you don't like the price, your course of action is very simple: make an offer for what you think it is worth, or go elsewhere. And since I'm such a fool for my price, then I'll never sell the card. Enjoy!
Q:So some people complain about prices even though it is Best Offer format?
A:Yep...
Q:So you don't like Beckett very much, do you?
A:Beckett is a great place to start on most prices, especially if the item is from the last 2 years or so. I just feel free to disregard them when their prices do not reflect current conditions. This goes both ways, with some cards laughingly overpriced, but many also shockingly underpriced. Beckett should *follow* the market, not stifle it.
Q:Why don't you have more FAQs?
A:I don't like listings with tons and tons of stuff they want you to read. I like to keep it simple, because it really is pretty simple. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
