Payment
We only accept payments made through PayPal. This includes international sales.
Shipping
We make every attempt to ship the day after payment is received (prior to 6pm Central Time), and generally use USPS Priority Mail for domestic shipments. We will gladly explore other options such as First Class Mail, Express Mail, UPS or FedEx upon customer request. All Domestic packages sent via USPS are shipped with a Delivery Confirmation number. This service is provided free for Priority Mail shipments.
We generally charge $1.00 over the actual postage to help defray the expense of packing materials. Since most of the items we ship are fragile and are seller-insured, we use only new 200lb test boxes and plenty of packing peanuts, bubble wrap etc. On sets of glassware and dishes where the amount of packing materials required will be large, we may charge slightly more. In either case, the amount we charge will be stated in the description so there is no confusion.
Insurance and Insurance Claims
Although our packages are mailed through United State Postal Service, our domestic packages are NOT insured through them. The USPS requires claimants to bring damaged items to Post Office, fill out forms and they often take months to settle claims. The other large insurance carrier that insures mailed packages is PIP, the same underwriter that insures packages for UPS and FedEx. Higher priced items will be insured through PIP at the descretion of the seller and all other purchases are seller-insured through the seller. This benefits our customers in several ways; the rates are cheaper than USPS, and the claims process is faster. Additionally, we handle the claims process without customers having to take package to the Post Office. In the cases of claims through the seller, claims will be paid immediately upon evidence of damage or loss. For those parcels insured by PIP we will handle all the forms and submission of paperwork. In the past, all claims with PIP have been settled in about two and one half weeks, with payment sent to us. We reimburse at that time. As with USPS and PIP, the insurance covers the contents only, not the cost of postage and insurance itself. Additionally, when one or more pieces of a set are broken insurance pays only for the portion lost, not the entire set.
International Sales
International customers are welcome! We use the various international shipping options at USPS, and we will provide the buyer with rate and other options. NOTE: Import duties, taxes, and charges are NOT INCLUDED in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/ buying. These charges are normally collected by the shipping company or when you pick the item up. Do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts". US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior. At the seller's descretion some Prioity International packages will be insured through USPS.
Returns and Complaints
Please contact us regarding any returns. Items may be returned for any reason within 14 days and are subject to a 10% restocking fee. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. Once we receive the item in the same condition as it was when it was sent, we will immediately refund the purchase price of the item, minus the restocking fee, though PayPal.
We make every effort to be accurate in our descriptions. In the event it is discovered that we substantially erred in our description, we will reimburse the buyer the purchase price and the postage. We make an honest attempt to reconcile any issue our customers have and settle claims promptly and reasonably.
