WARRANTY:
All products we sell are NEW and carry the full manufacturer's warranty. We also have our own Initial 1 month warranty(this is only for U.S. shipments - sorry this is not available for customers outside the U.S. due to high costs of shipping) for your convenience. Instead of dealing with service centers and manufacturers, we offer a replacement policy on all defective items within the first 30 days from original purchase. simply email us with the description of the item and problem and we will issue a return authorization. You can return the defective unit to our store with a copy of the original invoice and a brief description of the defect and we will replace the item if we still have stock. Shipping and handling are not refundable and are the responsibility of the buyer if we happen to be out of stock and a refund has to be issued instead of a replacement for the item. However, We will cover the shipping and handling on outgoing replacement products(again, this is only for the U.S.).
EXCHANGES AND RETURNS. We offer exchanges on items we sent in error. Simply email us with the problem and we will work quickly to get you the correct merchandise. We don't offer regular exchanges or returns on ebay items if we didn't make an error in shipping the right merchandise. The reason for this is a little complicated but basically, our margins are extremely small and in combination with the ebay listing fees and ebay final value fees not to mention our processing fees makes it prohibitively expensive to do any exchanges or returns. We will make exceptions but there is a very high restocking fee which includes all the fees mentioned above plus shipping and handling and we reserve the right to refuse this service if the item cost is close to or lower than the actual processing costs.
REBATES AND FREE OFFERS: Makita and LA Toolworks offers a variety of value added Tools. There are 4 basic offers:
FREE ITEM with tool. This is simple; you receive a free item(s) with your purchase and it comes with the tool. no coupons or mail in rebates.
FREE MAIL IN ITEM: the way this works is you mail in a coupon(supplied with tool you purchase or available on makita.com) along with upc tag and copy of receipt and Makita will send you the free item. this usually takes 4-6 weeks.
REBATE OFFER ON CURRENT PURCHASE: fill in the rebate form along with copy of receipt to Makita and Makita will send you the rebate.
REBATE OFFER ON NEXT PURCHASE: you mail in the rebate form after you purchase an additional tool and send to Makita for your rebate. there's usually a dollar minimum value to qualify on this type of rebate. please ask if it's not clear in the description.

ps - Please be sure to have a valid return email address if you're asking a question. I find this to be a common problem. People sign up with an email address they later change but never change it on their ebay account or paypal account and sometimes their mail manager.
