To keep your italian leather looking beautiful just follow these 10 easy steps:

• Nourish your leather products with neutral cream (we recommend URAD leather care products) every so often to  help maintain their natural oils.
• Store all leather goods away from direct sunlight to prevent the colour from fading.
• Use a dust bag to protect the leather against scratches while storing.
• Keep leather away from extreme heat as it can dry out the natural oils.
• Take immediate action if leather gets wet. Wipe it with a soft cloth, pack the inside with paper to absorb any further wetness and leave it to dry naturally.
• Remember that leather is a natural material, so it is to be expected that minor variations in colour and even small imperfections may be visible on the surface.
• Do not overfill leather bags as they can lose their shape.
• Avoid spraying perfume near leather as it can affect the colour.
• Do not to store light-coloured leather next to a dark coloured leather as the darker shade could 'migrate' or rub off and cause irreversible damage.

Wipe away surface dirt with a damp cloth or with trichloroethylene if resistant (try first on a hidden part of the bag). Do not use abrasive or solvent cleaners as they will damage the leather.

• The care for hair calf fur is pretty simple. Don't get gum or oil on it and you can pretty much clean it nicely with a dry cloth.
• If you get something on it, use a slightly damp cloth but then dry it with a dry cloth immediately after.
• Store your hair calf fur articles in cool ventilated place out of the plastic bag.

• Regularly dust or brush with a soft brush, or wipe clean with a slightly damp cloth.
• Treatment with proprietary cleaners or polishers should be carried out sticking strictly to the manufacturers' instructions. Never use excessive quantities - the less the better.
• Once or twice a year the handbag should be wiped with a cloth dampened with white spirit to thoroughly cleanse the leather surface from old and discoloured waxes, etc. It should then be given a very light treatment with a proprietary polish, and finally rubbed up with a soft clean cloth.

Patent Leather

• Clean with a damp cloth, plus a little neutral detergent if needed.
• Pigskin leathers should be treated with a silicone preparation to protect them.
• Minor contamination on all grain leathers can frequently be removed by gentle rubbing with a soft India rubber eraser.

Suede Leather

• Brush regularly with a soft suede brush or rub gently with a plastic foam block.
• Minor stains and marks may be removed with a hard rubber eraser, or by touching up the surface with a fine emery paper.
• The leather should retain its colour and appearance if it is regularly treated with a fluorocarbon aerosol spray product. These make the leather water repellent, and offer protection from grease and dust.
• There is a wide range of suede cleaning and colouring products on the market, and these will give excellent results - provided that the product manufacturers' recommendations are strictly observed.
