At age 19 Rock N' Roll Warehouse President and CEO Scott Roderick caught his first guitar pick at a 1979 Van Halen show in Phoenix Arizona. After 35 years of assembling one of the largest private collections of music memorabilia, it is finally being offered to the general public.
Scott started in the music business during the summer of 1981 as owner of a local ticket agency The Ticket Company. Prior to the likes of Stubhub and Ticketmaster, Scott became a pioneer in the growing secondary market of event tickets. Selling his business in 1997 to what would eventually become nationally known TickCo.com, gave Scott the ability to dedicate his time to his true passion, collecting music memorabilia.
The late 1990's brought the internet revolution into our homes. In 1998, Roderick was extensively buying and selling under the business name Swag Music Memorabilia. He developed many relationships with concert promoters, crew personnel, record executives and even band members themselves. This resulted in Roderick being able to collect one of the largest displays of band guitar picks (over 40,000 different) over the next decade. During that time he also acquired many other collections of tour memorabilia and one of largest authentic autograph collections.
