SHIPPING AND PAYMENT POLICIES - AND ANSWERS TO FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Payment is due within 7 day from the date of the auction's close or your store purchase.   Please, if you're paying by check or money order, don't wait until the 7th day to mail it.
  • PayPal will automatically generate an invoice with shipping and payment options.  When you select the PAY button, you can either pay immediately with PayPal or Bidpay, or let us know that you will be sending a money order or check.
  • Only U.S. customers with 50+ positive feedback may pay by personal check. 
  • International payment is by PayPal only.  We're sorry for the inconvenience, but our bank charges a fee to deposit foreign checks and/or money orders.  And then it takes 14 days to clear. 
  • If there is a problem with the invoice or if you need to change something, please email us and we'll get right back to you.
  • Remember before you hit the Pay button, to check out our store items.  A store item purchased in conjunction with an auction item, ships free.
  • And when you win multiple auction items, or purchase multiple items from my store (the record is 77), you can save money by combining shipping.

     Every week we ship beautiful tea sets (like the one above), and 50-year-old glass.  We promise to ship your items with the same care that we would want for items sent to us. 

  • Our goal is to ship your treasures within 48 hours/2 business days, after you've paid for them.
  • All U.S. shipments include free delivery confirmation and tracking.  You will receive an email from the postal service when your label is printed. 
  • We wrap all treasures in tissue, double-box when the item requires...and stuff hollow spaces (like bowls and vases) with tissue or peanuts, to prevent them from imploding.
  • Fragile items require TLC.  We use fresh tissue paper and medium sized bubble wrap.  For that, we add $1 to the shipment to cover the costs.  Spaces around your item are filled with peanuts or newspaper.  Newspaper works better with heavy objects.
  • There is no additional charge for non-fragile items.
  • Even with all precautions, it's wise to select the insurance option for high value and fragile items.

  • For International Shipping, we use USPS only.  Items that weigh 3 pounds or less can ship Global Priority, Air Letter, Air Parcel, or Economy (Ground).   Items between 3.1 and 4 pounds can go Air Letter, Air Parcel or Economy (Ground).  Over 4 pounds, Air Parcel is the only option.  Remember when you're comparing costs, that Air Parcel includes $80 worth of insurance.   

  • And don't forget to calculate the time your item may spend in Customs when it reaches your country, before it gets to you. 

  • We'll use complete descriptions on customs forms to help minimize your tariff: "used" whenever appropriate, and country of origin.  What we won't do is mark your item as a gift.  And remember you are responsible for customs fees.

    Please feel free to ask questions before you purchase something.  We're happy to help and will try to accommodate all reasonable requests, including additional photos.

     There is a postage calculator on each listing.  Just put your zip code or country code in, and it will give you the options and costs for shipping to your location.
