Buying Tips

Having sold machinery for the woodworking industry's (2) largest dealers since 2001, We understand the opportunities and pitfalls that exist while purchasing a used machine.  It is my goal to give a focused, one on one selling experience.  We can help determine which machine is best for your application and production level, establish a way that you can afford the machine, and locate the best method to transport the equipment safely.

The best way to make contact:

  • email:         sales@machineking.com
  • toll free:      (866) 811-1411
  • phone:        (704) 839-2655
  • fax:              (704) 821-2470

We are in our office available to answer your calls and emails from 7:30 AM to 7:00PM EST during the week. We monitor our emails hourly and try to respond to email and voice mail within 1-2 hours. Emails and voice messages are also monitored during weekends although response times may vary.

Please feel free to contact us with any of your concerns about equipment you see listed in our store. We are here to help you. Questions concerning freight quotes and financing are always very important concerns and we are experienced at helping our customers with these issues. All that we ask is that you are serious about the equipment in question.

Paul Rhoades:

I sold board and laminate for 6 years prior to selling machinery, I understand the inconsistencies that woodworkers face everyday.  I am driven to remove some of those inequities by selling the right machine in the condition it is promoted.

After graduating the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Business Marketing degree, I sold automotive hardware for WURTH, USA  and realized that industry wasn't for me.  My next position was selling raw materials to the woodworking industry and that's where I found my home.  I have successfully sold to woodworkers locally, regionally, nationally and internationally for many years.

If you have questions concerning panel processing including edgebanding, saws, laminating and finishing, don't hesitate to call.

Kurt Nansen:

My introduction into machinery started with building equipment for the architectural door industry.  Not many years later I started manufacturing cnc routers and point to points for the metal industry, giving me extensive knowledge of the working components on automated machinery.

If you require accurate, un-biased answers, give me a call.

Dave Nelson:

I grew up working with my father at TIMBER HARVESTER, INC, learning all facets of the operation and the industry.  After college, I started my own career selling new and used woodworking machinery.  Through the years I have gained extensive knowledge of the solid wood machinery, including moulders, rip saws, sawmills, pallet equipment, planers and shapers

Call me if you need help with your solid wood production.

Happy shopping and remember: No question is a dumb question! The more you know about the equipment you are buying and the application the machine is required to perform, the more confident you feel about your purchase.

I know the sales process starts with listening to the customer’s needs along with understanding the application and budget guidelines. This process culminates with a manufacturing solution tailored to meet those parameters. Repeat customers are our desire and goal. We are confident that we can earn your business and keep it. Give us a call and let us go to work for you!

One last note: I use eBay not only to protect me as a seller, but also to protect you as a buyer. The more you educate yourself about eBay and the eBay community, the more you will feel confident about your purchase.
