BASIC INFORMATION:

WARRANTY POLICY:

Max Tool guarantees purchases against manufacturing defect for 30 days from the date of purchase (see "Return Policy").  Max Tool makes no warranties, express or implied, beyond this period, unless otherwise specifically and expressly stated.  Further warranty may be offered by the product manufacturer.  For warranty information on a particular item or to obtain warranty parts/service on an item (if applicable), please contact the item manufacturer.

RETURN POLICY:

If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you can return it for a refund or exchange within 30 days of receipt of the purchase.  Returns for refunds are subject to a 15% restocking fee (based on the purchase price of the merchandise).  Original shipping/handling paid is non-refundable and return shipping costs are your responsibility.  We recommend using a shipper that provides tracking information.  Due to shipping restrictions, returns are not allowed for gas generators once they have been filled with gas and/or oil.  We can only provide replacement parts for generators.

ORDER CANCELLATIONS:

If you do not wish to complete a purchase, please contact us as soon as possible.  We will make every effort to cancel your purchase prior to the package being shipped, but cannot guarantee that the order will be stopped in time.  If an order has already shipped, simply refuse the package when it arrives or return the package to sender if the courier delivers the package.  Shipping/handling paid is non-refundable on order cancellations.  Order cancellations may also be subject to cancellation fee of 15% of the item value.

SHIPPING POLICIES:

Orders are usually processed/shipped within 48 hours of receipt of your payment.  However, this is not a guaranteed timeframe.  Sometimes, orders are shipped out after our usual 48-hour period.  Average time of arrival is 5-7 business days for domestic shipments by FedEx Ground, 7-10 business days for domestic shipments by freight truck, and 10-12 business days for international shipments - delivery times are not guaranteed.  If you need to receive an order within a guaranteed timeframe, please call us at (800) 629-3325 for rush options and expedited shipping.  Most orders are shipped by FedEx Ground, so please provide us with a physical shipping address (failing to do so may delay your order).  We may ship an order by a different courier at our discretion (usually larger items require shipping by freight services, orders to military addresses must be shipped by USPS, etc.)  Note that certain freight couriers may impose additional charges on you for special services such as, but not limited to, lift-gate fee and residential delivery fee - these are not covered by Max Tool and not included in original shipping/handling, unless specifically stated.  If a shipping charge is not listed for your shipping destination, please contact us for a shipping quote prior to bidding/purchasing.  "Free shipping" offers only apply to the contiguous 48 United States, unless otherwise specifically stated.  By bidding/purchasing, you agree to all shipping/handling charges.  Saturday, Sunday, and national holidays are not business days.

LOCAL PICKUP (WILL-CALL):

Max Tool stocks most of the items we sell in our warehouse.  We allow local pickups for these items.  For certain items, there is a will-call charge for local pickup (usually, but not always, $10.00) in lieu of the full shipping charge.  Please call ahead to check availability, to schedule pickup, or for directions.

PAYMENT OPTIONS:

California customers are subject to an 8.25% Los Angeles County sales tax, unless the purchase legally qualifies for tax exemption.  Arrangements for payment should be made within 48 hours of purchase or end of auction.  Checks, money orders, and other mail-in payments must be received within 7 days of the purchase or end of auction to avoid and unpaid item dispute through eBay.  Payment options are: PayPal (preferred), credit card, personal checks, money orders, and cashier's checks.  Checks, money orders, and cashier's checks are to be made out in US funds; payments in other currencies will not be accepted and the purchase will be considered  unpaid until the proper amount has been received in US dollars.  Orders paid by check and e-check are subject to a hold until the funds clear.

FEEDBACK POLICY:

We value the eBay feedback process and actively partake in the process.  However, we only leave feedback for buyers when feedback is received.  The reason being that not all buyers leave feedback and it is unfair for us to leave feedback for those who do not take the same time to leave it for us.  We believe that most problems have a reasonable mutual solution, so negative feedback is unwarranted in most situations.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS:

All dollar amounts listed are in United States dollars and will be the basis for which you will be charged.  The exact amount charged to you in your local currency may change, depending on currency fluctuations.  Please check www.xe.com for the conversion to your local currency.  All electrical items (including, but not limited to, battery chargers) use US standard 110/120V outlets, unless otherwise stated.  Promotions, free gifts, and warranties are not applicable outside the United States.  Separate charges involved in importing/shipping items not directly classified as shipping/handling or postage/packing, including, but not limited to, VAT, duties, and taxes, are the responsibility of the purchaser, not Max Tool.  Please contact your local government and shipping couriers for information regarding these charges.
