The Mobius Megatar company manufactures a specialty instrument that's easy and fun to play.
Mobius Megatar, located on Mount Shasta in northern California, has developed a reasonably-priced instrument designed for outstanding tone, and easy to play. The instrument (a "megatar") is like an electric guitar or bass, but especially made to be played just by touching the strings to the frets ("touch-style").
This makes playing with both hands possible, so that you can play basslines at the same time as rhythmic guitar chords. Or you can play (like a piano player) chords while you improvise with the other hand! It's much like playing a piano, but easier to learn, and easier to carry around!
The Mobius Megatar touch-style instrument has unique features to make two-handed play easier: Our patented strap holds the instrument in an upright position so that your hands fall naturally upon the fretboard. The wide fretboard then makes every note easy to reach, and by setting up six bass strings and a separate six melody strings, your two hands never interfere with each other!
Our standard tuning arranges the notes so that your hands move identically to produce identical sequences of notes. This halves the learning task, and doubles your learning speed.
Quality construction, a wide range of models to match any budget, and unique patented enhancements create great tone and flexibility. (Please see the Mobius Megatar factory website for in-depth discussion of features, plus photographs and recordings of Mobius Megatar models, and a downloadable copy of the complete method book.)
The Mobius Megatar company is dedicated to creating more music in the world, by making music easier. And we'll prove it.
