I have recently noticed that some fake Furuta products are being offered by a few unethical sellers on eBay. As mentioned in one of my eBay guides, the quality of the fake products is quite bad comparing to the genuine and the fake ones are manufactured and painted poorly.  Also, the parts don't fit as nicely as the genuine and a lot of effort is required in forcing the parts to join together.  The paint furnishing is very rough. Missing parts/wrong parts are very common among the fakes.

Below photos show the comparison of genuine Furuta War Planes Vol. 3 products and their fake counterparts. I have circled the major distinctions in red so you will know what to look for in identifying the fake products. 

The fake Furuta War Planes Vol. 3 products are often being sold at eBay as a set of 20. This is easy enough to spot since a full set of Furuta War Planes Vol. 3 has 25 items (not 20).  For those sellers who sell these planes individually, you can compare their photos within the listing with photos below and you will be able to identify whether they are fakes are not.
