It's no secret that for $0.99 ea., inferior LED bulbs can be purchased through '3rd-tier' brick 'n mortar home improvement chains. Similarly, faceless brands such as LESON, Shine Hai, 'SlimStyle', Hillsboro are listed on eBay. Contrast this to a production cost of roughly $3.23 per bulb for our Dimmable LED manufactured by TCP. The public is accustom to an incandescent mindset in which all bulbs are more-or-less the same. Not so with LED. Pay attention to the difference in background color between the non-Energy-Star and Energy-Star video pictured our listings. With a cheap LED, severe color degradation over time (grey hue) is the norm. Bulbs which are Energy-Star Certified have been tested by the Energy Protection Agency for color consistency and color accuracy over time. Take pride in your lighting. A good LED will be with you the next 20+ years. Look for the Energy-Star logo ~ the Energy Protection Agency's Seal of Approval: 25+ stress tests and specifications.
