Shipping Questions |
|
How do I combine orders to save money on shipping?
In order to save on shipping you need to make a single payment. Make
all of your purchases first, and then when you go to make the
payment, all purchases will automatically show up on the invoice,
which will also automatically have the shipping combined. If for any
reason it doesn't combine shipping, then send me a message, and I
can easily refund the difference through Pay Pal. Also when buying
insoles, they ship for free when making a purchase of any regular
pair of shoes, so I always go back in a credit a refund for that.
Please feel free to contact me if everything doesn't automatically
discount.

I bought a pair of
these slippers last night and now think I should have bought some
for a friend too. Can I still get the combined shipping discount?
Contact us right away, even if your
package is already wrapped for shipment, but hasn’t left our
warehouse yet, we will un-wrap it, place everything in a new box,
and provide you with a new tracking number.

|
|
Do you have a tracking number on my shipment?
We are currently
automatically providing tracking numbers by email on all domestic
shipments. Tracking numbers are not available for international
orders unless they are shipped Express mail which is super
expensive.

|
What if I want to change my ship to address?
We automatically use the one that Pay Pal lists. If
you wish to use a different ship to address, be sure to include it
in the comments section with your Pay Pal payment; otherwise it
could delay your order, because we will have to verify it through
the registered email address you have with Pay Pal, and the order
will be held awaiting your response.

|
What
are your handling times?
How soon, from the time you receive payment, can I expect my order
to be shipped?
I process orders right away, 7 days a week. The
shipping department works 5 days and 6 nights. They work Monday
through Fridays, skip Saturday, and then come in Sunday night to get
the weekend orders ready to ship on Monday. During the week, if
you place an order early enough, it is oftentimes is shipped the same
day. If not it goes out within 24 hours. If we are especially
backed up with orders, and depending on when you placed the order,
it could go out within 48 hours. On the other hand, if you place
your order right before the weekend, as in later on a Friday, it may
not go out until Monday. All of our orders are dependent upon the
Post Office’s daily pickup schedule. Please allow for non-business
days such as weekends or holidays, or any other cause beyond our
control.

|
|
Once
shipped, how much time do you anticipate it will take my order to
arrive?
Priority mail takes anywhere from 1
to 3 days to reach anywhere within the intercontinental US; once
again you have to allow for non-business days, such as weekends and
holidays. Fed Ex takes approximately 5 business days.
|
|
Do you
ship standard expedited shipping?
No standard shipping advertises 7 business days, but
by the time you factor in handling times, and the fact that there
are only 5 business days per week, so 7 business days can run into 2
weekends, it can take 14 days or more in order to receive your
package. That’s too long. When you consider how small the savings
are to ship standard expedited shipping, it just isn’t worth it.
Priority mail, on smaller packages up to 4 pounds is a bargain and
often times gets there during the same week, sometimes in only a day
or two, depending on your location.

|
I hope that I don't have to be home and to sign for the delivery?
We do not ship packages signature required unless you
request it.
This also brings up several points.
-
I have never lost a package when shipping USPS
that had delivery confirmation numbers on it. We provide
delivery confirmation numbers with all domestic shipments both
when shipping USPS and FedEx. International shipments do not
have tracking numbers available, unless they are being sent USPS
Express mail which is very expensive.
-
Standard procedure for the post office is to
leave a package if they feel that it is in a safe location.
Since a package is no longer in our control once it is shipped,
after it leaves our warehouse, and is en-route to you, which is
verifiable due to the tracking numbers, we are no longer
responsible for it once it arrives at your location.
-
If you think that your purchase is at risk
after it is delivered, you need to take some precautions. Leave
a note for it to be delivered to a specific neighbor who will
receive it for you. Another alternative, an advantage the post
office has is that a customer can leave a note on the door for
them to take the package back to the post office, and you will
pick it up there. If you live in an especially bad neighborhood,
you can leave a note on the outside of the door to be easily
seen, and one inside the glass so it cannot be removed. If you
have packages left all of the time, then leaving it should not
be a problem. I am not trying to frighten you. As I mentioned I
have not had a problem with this, but I think it is important to
exercise caution, and consider the protective measures I have
outlined here if you anticipate any problems.

Are any of the shoes available in wide or extra
wide?
These come in standard widths
only. No extra wide 2X or 3X. I have not had one
person with a regular width shoe receive them
and say they were not right. If your foot is a
different width than standard, then these are
not for you. The material gives a little, but I
wouldn’t stretch it.

Does your product line run true to size, or a
little large, or small? I run a size “x” with
this manufacturer, or that manufacturer, do
yours measure the same?
All manufacturers cut their
sizes differently. Please refer to the
individual listings for sizing measurements. We
make it easy for you. You do not need to know
how we compare in regard to measurements with
respect to this manufacturer, or that. We either
provide the actual heel to toe outside
measurements, and what your foot should measure,
or with those items that run true to the
standard sizing chart, we provide our foolproof
measuring guide. Taking a moment to measure
you feet is important. One foot is usually a
little longer than the other. In my case my feet
continued to grow way past my developing years,
so take a measurement to be sure, because buyers
pay all shipping on returns and exchanges. We
make it simple and foolproof. Without exception
every exchange is a result of someone not
bothering to take only a minute to measure their
feet. With the variations amongst manufacturers,
a size that fits you with one, may be completely
different then with another. Measure your feet,
and follow the instructions in the listing for a
proper fit.

Part III
Returns and Exchanges |
|
I want to get the next size larger, how do I exchange them?
Exchanges are sent back to the warehouse. Please be
sure to include the following.
-
Your name, the same one that the order was placed
under.
-
The word MillCrafters
-
Instructions that you want an exchange and for
what size. It is strongly suggested that you include a
measurement of your feet. One is usually longer than the other
so measure both of them.
-
Sufficient postage included in the box to cover
the return shipping. You will know that amount by the postage on
the box that you received them in.
Send them Priority mail, and be sure and get a delivery
confirmation number. Use the box they came in, or the post
office has Priority mail boxes. I will forward your new shipping numbers as
soon as your new replacements are shipped.

|
|
What if
I receive a defective item?
We guarantee your item to be defect free, or we will
replace it at no cost to you as long as you contact us first for
instructions. If you return a defective item on your own, we will
not reimburse you for return shipping. I repeat contact us first for
instructions.

What are
your return policies?
Returns and Exchanges are Running in the Low Single Digits
We have a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. If for any
reason whatsoever you want to return an item, we will refund your
purchase minus S&H, plus any unrecoverable eBay transaction fees.
Exchanges are credited for the full purchase price of the item, minus
shipping.
People love to buy with armchair
convenience, and you are welcome to casually shop our product line,
and return items, but at these prices we cannot incur the out of
pocket expenses every time
someone does.
Pertaining to returns for refunds; we do not make a profit on returns. We have to
recover any
unrecoverable transaction fees
just on the purchase price
of the item. It would be easier to say
we have a 12% restocking fee, but I wanted you to know that returns
are not a profit center for us; we don’t make a dime on them. We try
to fully describe the item in every way in the listing, complete
with multiple pictures, and measurements.
We do not require an RMA number for returns; just
return them to our warehouse, postmarked within 14 days, from when
you received them, in the same new condition with all packing
materials. Do not wear these outside for even a minute. Try them on
in a room with a carpeted floor with socks on just like you would in
a shoe store.
When making a return, place a note in the box with
your name and address, the same one you used when placing the order,
the name Mill Crafters, and your request for a refund.
Please be sure and get delivery confirmation numbers
on returns, whereas we are not responsible for your returns until
they arrive at our warehouse. Your delivery confirmation number is
proof that it arrived, and it will help you to instantly know the
status of your return shipment.

|
I have left you feedback, can you please do the
same for me?
Yes definitely. We comb our
feedback on a regular basis, and everyone who
leaves it for us, we leave it for them.
Approximately 40 percent of the people who buy
from us leave feedback. So rather than spending
an inordinate amount of time having to leave
feedback for everyone, including those who don’t
really care about it, we would rather spend that
time getting orders out in record time.

I Do you accept money orders?
No. It is against eBay policy to accept money
orders. Pay Pal only please.

|
|
Do you accept best offers?
No, we price these in such a way
that there isn’t any wiggle room. Please do not
write me with best offer proposals.

are cut differently to his and her sizes.

Do they stain your feet like Uggs®? I just want
to avoid the fading on my skin I have with my
black shearling Ugg's®?
You’re the third person that has
asked me that. I have never had a single
complaint about our black boots, or any of our
color selections having a problem with bleeding,
or staining your feet.
I want to take a moment to thank UGG's®
for making us look so good. Considering their
prices are 4 times ours on tall boots, and way
more than ours in our entire product line. They
import their shearling from Australia just like
we do at Wool Works, and they also have them
hand made in China to take advantage of the
pennies on the dollar labor rate just like we do
at Wool Works, but the only difference is that
we pass those savings onto you. Here is what was
said in
MillCrafters feedback about our tall boots:
Super
fast delivery!!!!!!! Awesome boots & I usually
buy uggs!! Excellent deal
Feb-05-09
If you comb
through our feedback you will see that so many
people come back and buy more once they see the
quality, especially considering the price.

Do the men’s chestnut tan tall boots come in
black also?
No they only come in Chestnut
tan. Ladies tall boots on the other hand, come
in both chestnut tan, and black.

I noticed your tall boots are listed as new with
box or bag. Do you ship them with the box?
That depends. In order to be competitive on
shipping, and ship your order at the standard
rates, sometimes we need to take the tall boots
out of the box, and ship them in just the
Priority box. If it is to a neighboring state,
we even ship them in the box they come in, and
tape it up very thoroughly. If you are buying
more than one pair, and the entire shipment is
over 4 pounds and they are going FedEx we ship
usually ship them in the box they come in, plus
an outside box. There are exceptions to that
rule also. All shipping is based on not tipping
the scales. Sometimes adding one ounce takes it
into another whole category. What over rides all
of this is that we keep our shipping costs down.
Could you imagine what it would be like if we
came back to a customer and said, "Listen we
went to ship your package, and with the box they
came in included your order will be another 4 or
5 dollars to ship?" That would be a real
problem. So we always ship them for the price
advertised. If that means removing them from the
box they came in, and placing them in a secure
Priority mail box, we do it.

How do I recover the eBay
transaction fee?
When you return an item you want
the cost of the transaction fee back. You want
it back, and I want it back. There is only one
way for us to get it back; we have to cancel the
sale, and that requires a 100% refund and a
mutually agreed upon cancellation.
So in keeping with the terms in the listing,
Refunds are minus shipping and handling, and any
unrecoverable eBay transaction fees, I
automatically refund that way.
There is one way we can get the eBay transaction
fee back. You can make a separate payment via
Pay Pal to cover just the shipping, the amount
you originally paid, and then I will give you
the 100% balance of your original payment!
So it is easy:
1) Send me the original postage amount as a
separate payment via Pay Pal.
2) I refund you right away the rest of your
purchase in full. That's it, that is all it
takes for you to get the transaction fee back.
It couldn't be simpler.
For
example would you spend $10 to get $15 back
right away? I would.
So it is up to you, if you don't want to
bother and are willing to absorb the eBay
transaction fee that is fine. If not, then just
provide a separate Pay Pal payment to cover only
the original shipping fee.
Every time someone made a refund the transaction
fees really started to add up. So I appreciate
you helping me to keep costs down, and that
allows me to offer these at such a low price.
Some stores offer these at twice this price, and
then offer free shipping and returns. How
expensive is that?
(By the way Pay Pal fees
are always refundable and I automatically refund
them, so we are only talking about eBay
transaction fees here. If it wasn't $4.79 for a
typical sale I wouldn't even be bothering with
all of this. So let's go green and work together
to recover the fee :-) |
