Dear Momosworld,

For most children, Halloween is the best holiday of the year. Children plan their costumes almost from the first day of school. While Halloween can be a fun fright night for healthy kids, there’s really nothing more frightening to a parent than learning that your child has been diagnosed with a serious disease. That’s why we’re so grateful for your continued support.

In this issue of SickKids Believer, you’ll find tips on keeping kids healthy over Halloween, as well as the inspiring story of young Will, whose family is bravely facing a frightening diagnosis. As always, there are plenty of ways for you to get involved – from following us on Twitter to rallying your friends and family for a $100 challenge.
OUR FEATURE STORY
PATIENT STORY

The cure for dance fever.

SickKids has made some amazing discoveries over the years, but this one made life more fun for children and teens who might otherwise miss important milestones because of extended hospital stays or difficult treatments. The cure for dance fever came in the form of a special disco ball, complete with a professional DJ and a generous array of "mocktails". To find out more about this event, made possible by a generous endowment from the Storfer family, click here.
Will's Story.

Although only a year old, Will has already spent more time in hospital than most of us spend in a lifetime. To find out about this amazing boy, and why his parents call SickKids a "calm and safe space", click here.
