Hi!  My name is Colleen (if Cher can do it, I can do it!) and I am the owner of The Village Boutique! As much as I dislike the idea of being a victim, I am the survivor of domestic abuse. My husband has abused me for the past six years and I didn't do anything about it. When he hit me again last week, knocked me down and dragged me across the floor by my hair, I finally said, "Enough is enough". I was lucky to escape with my life. Unfortunately, that's about all I was able to escape with. He took my house, my furniture, my jewelry, my money and my singing career. Overnight I went from being half of a Sonny & Cher act down to being the weaker half of an ugly Ike & Tina act. Now I am trying to fight back. I am trying to stand on my own two feet. But while I am starting over, it is taking me some time to find a safe place to live (with nothing but a pillow and a small air mattress as furniture) and a lot of time and work to get my eBay inventory back. I am also struggling to get a computer and the internet up and going again so I can support myself on eBay. It's tough to go from being a full-time singer/entertainer down to selling full-time on eBay. But I am a survivor. If I survived six years of his abuse, I will survive this. Please be patient and bear with me as I try to put my life back together and get my orders caught up and learn to make this thing work again. And most of all, please keep me in your prayers.
