Information about the Parts we are selling on eBay
The difference between Like New Parts and Used Parts:
If a TV has ever been plugged in and an attempt was made to turn the tv on then, technically, all the parts in the TV are "Used". These used parts then fall into two distinct categories:
1) "Like new" used part, which means it has very low hours of use
2) "Moderately used" or just "Used" part, which typically means more than a few hundred hours of use.
Like New parts:
Most of the parts that ABC Electronics sells on New Store TV Parts are used parts, many being "like new" parts. The "Like New" parts generally originate from a TV that had a broken display panel, LCD, or Plasma panel. The high cost of the display panels turns these TV's into expensive paperweights. Rather than scraping the whole TV set, our certified technicians examine all the internal parts (circuit boards, controls, speakers etc.) and salvage what we consider good "like new" parts. These "Like New" parts are from TV sets with none or very low usage. These parts are perfectly fine to use as a replacement part for a TV repair, assuming normal static precautions are used while removing and handling these Like New parts.
Used Parts:
These parts are recovered from sets with greater then 300 hours of use. These parts are valuable because they show indications and evidence of an acceptable amount of working life before they would fail. Many of these "Used" parts are out of production and are no longer available for purchase through normal channels. Many of these used parts, if they are available, are typically priced so high that the cost to purchase them would be cost prohibitive.
