Q. Why are most of the decorative beads on your lanyards towards the bottom near the ring, while the top part of the lanyard (that goes around your neck) is mostly seed beads?
A. Experience and customer feedback made it my decision to design my beaded lanyards this way. Bulky, sharp and scratchy beads are irritating to the neck. Seed beads provide a smooth, almost unnoticeable feeling along the neck.
Q. Why do you make some of your lanyards less that 32"?
A. Well, I cater to my customers. I found that there were "petite" customers who were tired of the longer lanyards getting caught up against their desk at work or hanging down too low. I have always offered the service of making a lanyard longer for a customer, if need be. I do try to make a variety of lengths to cater to all my customers.
Q. How do I care for my jewelry purchased at Niki's Jewels?
A. Well, you must treat it kindly. I suggest you do not get it wet and never expose it to chlorine or salt water. Keep your jewelry out of reach of children. Always put your jewelry on last to avoid exposure to lotions, perfumes and soaps. Store your jewelry in a plastic Ziploc bag. Yep. It may not look pretty, but it will keep your sterling silver shiny. Exposure to air is what causes sterling silver to oxidize (darken).
Q. Can you make matching earrings or a matching choker for a lanyard I want to buy from you?
A. Absolutely! Simply ask...I will see if I have enough of the beads to do so or if I can order more.
Q. Can you change a lanyard into breakaway for me?
A. Sure can! Just ask!
