A FEW QUESTIONS & ANSWERS YOU MAY HAVE ABOUT US
Q: Do you offer a discount if I purchase more than one item?
A: Yes! We are one of the few e-Bay stores that rewards you for shopping with them. If you purchase 2 items we will deduct $2 off the shipping price on your invoice. $3 off 3, etc. - there's no limit to the money you can save. With over 300 items in stock you're sure to find more than one item you'll love for yourself or to give as a gift. However, best offers are not eligible because they are being sold for less than the original price. Just choose your items then wait for us to send you an invoice in order to take advantage of these super savings!
Q: Are best offers eligible for the $1 off promotion?
A: Since the item is already being sold for less than the listing price best offers are not eligible for the multiple purchase discount.
Q: What is the easiest way for me to find what I'm looking for in your e-Bay store?
A: Searching within our store is easy. On our main page, there is a search box in the left margin which allows you to search the entire store. You can also click on a department & search inside it to narrow your field. The best keywords to use for clothing is the size number you are looking for & type of item such as shorts, shirt/top, etc. I do not use the word "size" in my titles because it takes up too much space. However, I do normally include the gender such as mens, womens, girls or boys. There is also a store search box as well as either a link or drop down menu to each department in my store located within each of our listings.
Q: How do you price your items?
A. I take 3 things into consideration when I price an item.

The price other e-Bay sellers and/or internet sites are selling the exact same item for.

The price I paid for the item.

The condition of the item - new, excellent condition, etc.
Don't forget, I do allow my buyers to send me Best Offers on the majority of my store inventory. I re-evaluate my pricing each time I receive a best offer. I also send a note (explaining the reason) in the event I do not accept the offer or send a counter-offer.
Q. Why did your .01 books go up to $1.00?
A. e-Bay created a new rule as of March of 2008 that all items in e-Bay stores must be priced at least $1.00 (so they get at least 0.12 per item in final value fees from sellers).
Q: Why can't I pay with a cashier's check or money order anymore?
A: e-Bay created a new rule as of October of 2008 that all items must be paid for using Pay Pal. Any buyer noting that they accept money orders or cashier's checks had their items ended by eBay. (Pay Pal is owned by eBay) The good news for buyers is that Pay Pal accounts are free. Pay Pal is also faster than sending payment in the mail, your payments are trackable & you can pay using your credit card, debit card or bank account registered with Pay Pal. Sellers can sign up for a Pay Pal debit card to be used like your bank debit card and receive a nominal "cash back" discount on purchases using Pay Pal credit.
Q. What is a best offer & a counter-offer?
A. Recently e-Bay has given store owners like myself the ability to allow their buyers to make offers on merchandise in e-Bay store inventory. If you are interested in making me an offer on an item all you have to do is click on the "make an offer" button which will take you to a screen where you enter in the price you would like to purchase the item(s) at. I will then get your offer and decide whether to accept the offer, make a counter-offer or decline the offer. A best offer & counter-offer is a binding contract which is the same as placing a bid or using the "buy it now" button. If you make a best offer you are agreeing to purchase the item at that price. If I make a counter-offer I am agreeing to sell the item at that price.
Q. I love to read & enjoy finding new authors. Is there a way to search your book department by genre instead of title & author?
A. If you're looking for a certain genre of book, first click on the book category of my store (in the left margin), then type in the genre you're looking for, such as romance, suspense, etc. This works because I include the keywords regarding the subject matter of the book inside my store item or auction description. Just make sure the "title and description" box is checked.
Q. I am interested in kids books and would like to narrow my search, is that possible?
A. I have recently made a change to my store categories so you can browse kids books that are divided into 3 different categories: kids fiction, kids non-fiction and picture books.
Q. What if I am interested in a book that you do not have?
A. If you are unable to find something specific in my e-Bay store you are welcome to e-mail me to see if I can locate it for you.
Q. What is the bulk of your store inventory?
A. The majority of my store inventory is books. I have books for all ages & interests including rare, hard to find & autographed books. I am very thorough in all my listings in which I have a scan of the actual book for sale including the text from the back of the book & inside flap when applicable. I normally try to include a reader or critic review and information about the author and other books they have written. I always have a detailed description of the condition of the book, the publishing information, number of pages, etc. My store is the next best thing to your local book store for your reading materials.
Q: I've sent emails and I have not received a reply. How can I contact you?
A: Since we are family owned & operated we are normally able to respond to e-mails within 12 hours. Keep in mind if you are an International buyer that there may be quite a bit of difference in time zones. You may be sleeping while I am at my computer & vice versa.
We normally only take one vacation each year during the summer. If by chance we will be away from the computer for an extended period of time we will post a message for our customers on our home page to let you know when we will return.
Q: I've paid by Paypal, when will I receive my order?
A: Pay Pal credit card or balance transfer payments are immediately placed into my account. In this case, orders are carefully packed, weighed & shipped within 48 hours of your payment. If you pay with your debit card it is considered an e-check & takes 3-7 business days to clear before your order can be shipped. We ship completed orders on a daily basis excluding Sundays & Government holidays. After its arrival at the post office the delivery time will depend on the delivery rate you chose & your location.
Q: Do you deliver to International, APO and FPO addresses?
A: Yes, we are pleased to provide service worlwide as well as APO & FPO addresses. Since any shipments leaving the U.S. must be accompanied with additional paperwork, they may be delayed a day longer than Domestic shipments. Unfortunately shipments mailed outside the U.S. do not allow delivery confirmation but I will e-mail you the day I take them to the post office.
Q: Is there a maximum number of items you will combine in one shipment?
A: There is no limit to the number of items we will ship. Multiple items will be shipped at a discounted rate if they are paid for in one payment & delivered to one address. When we see a buyer has placed an order for multiple items we will package the order, weigh it, then send an invoice with the correct shipping rate. See an item listing for more details.
Q: What is feedback & why is it important?
A: For each transaction, the buyer and seller are allowed to rate each other by leaving one feedback rating consisting of positive, negative, or neutral and a short comment. These ratings that members leave for each other make up your feedback number/score. This information is useful to buyers to gauge the reputation of a seller and to sellers to learn the payment history of buyers.
Q: When do you leave feedback?
A: I leave feedback for my buyers once I am sure they are satisfied with their purchase. If by chance you have a problem with the transaction please contact me via e-mail or telephone to decide upon a positive resolution. Communication is the answer to avoiding the possibility of either of our reputations being tarnished over a misunderstanding.
Q: I was thinking about opening my own eBay store. Can you explain what fees you pay on a monthly basis?
A: That questions has a complicated answer because fees vary depending upon the price of the item you are selling. However, here is a basic breakdown of the fees eBay sellers pay so you can take it into consideration when you are deciding whether to sell on eBay and also if you are a buyer so you know what your sellers are paying to be able to provide you with your merchandise.
Fees associated with owning an eBay store whether you sell anything or not:
- eBay store subscription $16.00 per month
- eBay listing fee for store items .03 per item
- monthly internet connection
- the original cost of the item for sale
- a scale to weigh items so you can print postage from home
- a place to store your items for sale so they are safe & easy to find when it's time to ship them
Fees to be paid when an item is sold (per item):
- Tyvek bag cost .15 each
- eBay selling fee .12 per dollar based on item's price (not shipping)
- Pay Pal fee .48 for a $6 payment - 2.9% of entire payment (inc. shipping) + .30 per payment recv'd
Other costs that must be paid depending on how much merchandise you sell & how often:
- printer paper (1 page per item sold)
- black printer ink (toner)
- clear packing tape
- gas to get to the post office (for me - each day an item is sold, others may ship less often)
Q: How can I purchase one of your auctions that has ended without bids?
A. I normally place auctions that end without bids into my e-Bay store soon after the auction is over. If you cannot find it there I'd be happy to hear from you via e-mail so I can let you know the item's availability.
Q: I was outbid on one of your auctions. How can I purchase a similar item from you?
A. I normally do not have multiples of an item. If I do I will offer it to the underbidder in the auction.

Q: Why should I add your store to my Favorites List?
A: e-Bay provides their registered users with a page all their own which is accessible by clicking on the My e-Bay page & logging in with your user ID & password. Once you are there you may choose to view your "Favorites".
By placing our store or seller ID in this section you can access our items with the simple click of your mouse. Checking my listings regularly will ensure you don't miss out on any of the great finds I offer to my customers!
