WHAT TYPE OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
Acceptable methods of payments are: credit
cards, money order, cashier's check, personal check, or PayPal.
If sending payment through the mail please be sure to
include your email address, shipping address, and item number with
payment. The fastest way to receive your order is to pay using PayPal.
HOW
LONG WILL YOU HOLD MY ORDER?
We will hold all orders awaiting
payment for up to two weeks from the purchase date. After that time orders will
be dropped and the items may be relisted.
HOW MUCH IS SHIPPING TO MY LOCATION?
Shipping rates are stated at the
bottom of each listing page. Domestic rate is $6.95 for first item. Shipping
internationally is $16.95 for the first item.
International buyers are responsible for any customs
duties, taxes, tariffs or brokerage fees associated with
shipping to their respective countries. It is recommended that you research
what taxes are levied by your government on this item prior to bidding. This is
assessed by your government and collected on delivery independent of the final
sale price and shipping charge for this item.
DO YOU COMBINE SHIPPING?
Yes, combined shipping is the
original shipping cost plus $2.00 for each additional item. There is a limit of
five items for international orders.
HOW WAS MY PACKAGE SHIPPED?
Domestic orders are shipped via U.S.P.S.
First-Class Mail. International orders are shipped via U.S.P.S. Priority Mail.
All orders are shipped with delivery confirmation and we insure every order
until confirmation of delivery.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY PACKAGE
TO ARRIVE?
Please allow 2 business
days processing time for all orders. Once your order is processed, it will
take approximately 7-10 business days for domestic orders, 10-25 business days
for orders to Canada
and all other international orders.
WHERE IS MY ORDER?

this time frame, please check with your post office to see if it is on hold there.
International orders may be held in customs.

How do I care for my
jewelry?
Here are some general instructions for
caring for your silver Offerings Jewelry:
Caring For Your Offerings Jewelry Collection:
- It is best to avoid chemical dips altogether. While some stones can
withstand dipping, many cannot.
- When we polish our silver jewelry, we use a jeweler’s
polishing cloth, a soft cloth treated with ingredients that clean silver
easily with no harmful effects to the jewelry. It is easy to use and lasts
for a long time.
- In a pinch you can use regular toothpaste on silver! Apply a tiny
amount of toothpaste to the silver with a soft toothbrush, rinse well, and
pat dry gently and thoroughly. (Avoid rinsing bone pieces with water if
possible.)
- For cleaning bone faces, simply use a small amount of rubbing
alcohol or hydrogen peroxide with a cotton Q-tip, rinse and pat dry.
- When storing your jewelry, try to avoid light and air. The natural
patina of age is one of the beautiful aspects of jewelry - polishing the
surface, while allowing natural oxidation over time can add depth,
dimension, and beauty to your collection.
How do
I care for vermeil?
The vermeil from Offerings is a thin coating
of 18K or 22K gold over sterling silver. Although less
durable than gold-filled, vermeil is more durable than gold plating. To
care for your vermeil jewelry, never machine polish or use any chemicals such
as silver or gold cleaner. Care should be taken to avoid vigorous polishing. A
polishing cloth may even be too rough and cause scratches. Oxidation of the
sterling silver underneath is possible, so store your vermeil jewelry in a
zip-lock bag to avoid scratches. We're told by Marianna that in Bali cotton balls are used to gently clean the vermeil
jewelry and we've found they work excellently! With proper care, your vermeil
jewelry will last for years.
How do I
care for gold?
You can clean gold jewelry with a soft (very
soft) toothbrush and some soapy water (dishwashing liquid works fine for this).
Dip the toothbrush in the water and use it to get into all of the crevices,
brushing ever so gently. Rinse the piece in warm water until the water runs
clear. Buff your piece dry with a soft, lint-free cloth to make it shine. If
you prefer, you can also use a non-abrasive jewelry cleaner that you can buy at
the store. If your gold jewelry contains gemstones, check to make sure that the
cleaner is safe to use with them. Don’t wear your gold jewelry 24 hours a
day, seven days a week, since this will make it more likely to get damaged over
time. The higher the karat, the softer the gold is. Offerings Jewelry’s
is almost all 18k, so should be protected from scratching and damage the way
one would care for any fine piece of jewelry. When you do take off your gold
pieces, store them in a velvet-lined jewelry box or case that contains
compartments for each item. Or, separately wrap each piece in tissue paper and
keep in small bags or pouches. Keep your diamond jewelry separate because the
hard stone can scratch your gold easily. Finally, be sure your jewelry is dry
when you put it away, because moisture can cause springs and clasps to weaken
over time.

Why is the web site called Offerings?
The Jacobs (who design all the jewelry) were
influenced greatly by Balinese culture during the time they lived there –
especially by the daily tradition of making exquisite floral
"offerings" to appease the gods. These "offerings" can be
as simple as a few flower petals with rice and incense in a palm leaf. For a
temple ceremony, it is common to see a line of women walking to temple with
ornate floral and fruit "offerings" stacked up to six feet high on
top of their heads.
Do you
repair jewelry?
In the rare instance that a piece of
Offerings Jewelry is in need of repair (such as replacing a gemstone), we will
be happy to evaluate the piece. If it is a repair can be done at the Offerings
office, we will do that and return to the piece to you as soon as possible.
Please allow 4-6 weeks. If the problem cannot be repaired by our staff, we will
contact you to decide how to proceed.
What are
your hours?
