Promotional Shipping

Hello my wonderul customers!

Get to together with your knitting group and take advantage of promotional shipping.  This means the top Domestic rate charged will be $14.90.  I won't charge more than that regardles of number of items or size of items purchased.  If they don't fit into the large flat rate box, I pay the difference and/or ship by UPS or Fed Ex ground or Parcel Post to Alaska.  Promotional Shipping is only available within the United States.

Please remember that I charge actual rates by weight and destination plus a .95 cent Domestic Handling charge or $1.50 International Handling charge that covers additional packaging, label, tape, printer toner and indemnity on lost packages (that means I replace/refund if the shipper loses it).

Please remember that eBay's shipping calculator has primitive programming and I may have to adjust your invoice manually.  1st Class Parcel is limited to 13 oz so only works for a few skeins of yarn, the calculator will not automatically switch to Priority and will show excessive 1st Class rates because it assumes multiple packages will be sent.  If you pay before I can adjust I refund the difference after shipping, if I do it before, the shipping on PP glitches out.

3 1lb cones can be shipped unsquished in the shoe box shaped Flat Rate Box.

5 1lb cones can be shipped with the cardboard centers squished or flattened in the shirt box shaped Flat Rate Box.

6 1lb cones can be shipped slightly squished in the 12x12x5 Large Flat Rate Box at $14.90, but this top rate will apply to any multiple item purchase whether it fits or not. This includes the big cones too!

Thanks again for shopping on the Oregon Trail.

Shipping & Payment
I accept all forms of payment. If you want to combine shipping, please ask for a combined invoice before paying. Thanks.

Shawlette Pattern

100_0018100_0020100_0009

Girls sizes required 1 skein Cotton Fleece and 1 skein Zing (any eyelash will do).  These are made by knitting a trapezoid or a rectangle that is longer on the lower edge than it is on the upper edge with slanted sides.  Stitches are then picked up along the slanted edges and decreased to gather and then knitted in rib to form ties.  Sized Small (pink), Medium and Large (purple)  Size 7 needles (I like a 29" circular for the body) and size 4 for the ties

Cast on 100 (110, 120) loosely with Cotton Fleece. I use the short tail cast on method.

Knit 2 rows, drop CF and knit 2 rows with eyelash, pick up CF and knit 2 more rows. You wil want to break off the eyelash after each eyelash row, but do not break off the Cotton Fleece. Thats the first six rows.

Rows 7 and 9: Knit
Rows 8 and 10: Purl
Rows 11 and 12: Knit 2, * YO, K2tog* Repeat ** to last two stitches. Knit 2.
Rows 13 and 15 Knit
Row 14 Purl
Rows 16 and 17: Knit
Rows 18 and 19: Drop CF and knit with eyelash. On Row 19 decrease 10 stitches evenly across work.
Rows 20 and 21 Knit with Cotton Fleece.

Repeat rows 7-21 4 more times, 50 (60, 70) stitches remaining. Bind off on row 21.

With eyelash pick up 36 or so stitches down the slanted edge. Knit 2tog back across and then knit back again decreasing evenly so you only have 12 left.  I don't think exact pick up numbers are critical just so you manage to decrease down to 12 in 3 or 4 rows. Change to CF and smaller needles and knit in K1, P1 rib for 8 inches. End with two rows of eyelash and bind off.  Repeat on the other end.  Hide all the ends and dress your princess up.

Adult sizes use 2 skeins of Cotton Fleece and 1 skein eyelash.  Model was made in CF Autumn Harves and Jai Alai Regal

Cast on 140 (150, 160) loosely and make same as child except do 7 total repeats rather than 5.  End with 80, (90, 100) final stitches.
