Companies claiming "there is no such thing as counterfeit Nag Champa" are most likely selling it to you, because there is! And, they don't know the difference or believe they should watch out for it.
Before you could get Nag Champa all over the web the going retail price was much higher and, with it's mass appeal, it was worth counterfeiting. This stock is still circulating today and being sold right here on eBay alongside our ads for authentic merchandise; and, an unsuspecting buyer can buy it and like it just fine (not having a point of reference).

SATYA discontinued manufacturing the 8 gram square packs in early 2006. There is no new stock is coming into the US and all 25x8=200 being made available on the market is old slow-moving stock.
The new format is a larger and heavier in both packaging and product and weight. Each individual package contains 10 Grams (opposed to the former 8 Gram conterpart). Each bulk package will now contain a product weight of 250 Grams total; 25 - 10 Gram Packs (opposed to the former 200 Gram conterpart).
Shipping costs for this new format and new line of scents will be higher than the 8 gram packs in any combination and the bulk packs as well. This increase is due to increased packaging materials used by the manufacturer. Increase will reflect throughout our line.
Our BIN prices needed to be temporarily adjusted. The .01 starting price auctions need to be suspended until the entire market is only offering the 25x10=250 format or buyers stop buying that old stock. We cannot sell the new package for the same low price we were offering the 25x8=200 at. The price for the new format is higher because each box contains more product. The price for all these items (both 10 gram stock and the remainder of 8 gram stock we are still acquiring) have gone up 4 times in the past year from the manufacturer. eBay has also raised it's fees for the second time this year. As well as the USPS has had a postal increase.
And to assure you you are getting a great deal even at our new price, both the 8 and 10 gram individual packages all retail for $2.50 and up before S/H. Also with us, you know you are getting the freshest authentic products for the lowest possible prices (because we sell the most quantity).
