The BEST HAWAIIAN TERIYAKI SAUCE

1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon whiskey (or vermouth)
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon grated ginger
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon MSG (optional)
Combine soy sauce, sugar, whiskey, sesame oil, ginger, garlic and MSG and mix well. Use to marinate chicken or beef before and during barbecue. Or marinate chicken and bake in oven (1 hour, 325 degrees). This sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for months.
Hint: Add a few tablespoons to your scrambled egg mixture for zesty flavor
