Standard vs BAM size
What is the difference between STANDARD and BAM sizes?

Although Badge-A-Minit (BAM) calls their buttons 2-1/4” size, they are actually 2-3/8” – which is slightly larger, so they will not fit in a standard machine. This causes endless headaches for many people.

If you are brand new to button making, do not have any existing supplies, and are in the market for a 2-1/4” machine, we recommend you purchase a standard size machine over the BAM size machine.

BAM sized parts can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, and tend to be more expensive. We don’t have as large of a selection in BAM sized items as we do in the STANDARD size.

We carry BAM sizes in our shop because a lot of people start out with BAM machines and then find they want to switch to a more sturdy Tecre Machine. Sometimes customers have a lot of BAM sized parts left over, so we had Tecre make us some BAM size machines, cutters and parts so we could meet these customers’ needs.
