We have personally chosen St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as our charity of choice and you will find that several of our listings donate a portion of the proceeds (at least 10%) to St. Jude.
St Jude’s mission is to provide research and treatment for children suffering from cancer, regardless of their ability to pay.
As a father of a two year old boy, I can only *imagine* what it must be like for a family to go through the devastation of having a child afflicted with cancer. And while our family has truly been blessed, it is something special to know that the families that cannot afford the healthcare needed to treat cancer have a place to go where their needs will be taken care of with the best available cancer treatments and research. Furthermore, 85 percent of every dollar donated to St. Jude goes to fulfill the needs of the hospital – much more than most charities. |
