I really do try my best to get your item out the same day I receive your payment.
I will actually track down my mail man or go to the Post Office after it closes and trap a person getting the last mail of the day from the outside boxes.
I check eBay as frequently as possible for any sales.
You can see all my positive feedback about shipping speed. The item was usually a Priority Mail selection paid with PayPal. It's Fast...
I also wanted everyone to know I DO NOT try to make any money on shipping. I will more often than not, loose money on shipping with all the packing materials and gasoline used to transport.
Please be aware that the Post Office did raise shipping rates, but they still aren't that bad.
As a rule, if an item is very light; say about 13oz or less, I will send it First Class.
If an item is some form of Media then it will go Media Mail. On any of these items you can always choose to ship Priority or Express Mail as an option.
On occasion an item is very large and it is difficult to judge what the shipping costs will be after packaging. Those items will normally go via UPS.
In that case, if the shipping amount charged was considerably more than - {actual + packaging} - then I will refund some of the shipping back to you.
I will do my best to be fair with that type of rare occurance.
