Phoenix Designs specializes in fashionable Mystic Fire Topaz Jewelry. Founded in 1985 we create our own line of rings, earring and pendants...all famous on cruise ship lines. Casting both in gold and silver our topaz pieces are a must for any occasion, and our customer service sparkles like our jewelry! This is a small tour of our workshop and the manufacturing procedure.  We are currently working on a video to demonstrate the process.  Pictured on the left is wax injection.  We inject hot wax into a rubber mold.  We carefully extract the cooled wax and attach it to a wax tree.  Next we invest the flask, which involves mixing investment and de-bubbling the mixture.  A hot oven heats the flask over night. After the oven has baked the wax out of the flask there is only a void remaining where the wax once was.  We melt the metal and pour into the hot flask using vacuum to draw the metal into the void. After the flask cools, we quench it and blast it with water to clean off all the investment.  The picture on the left is a perfect tree of 14K yellow gold cast by the "Phoenix."
