Introduction
Thank you for your interest in our products, below you will find some frequently asked questions which will help
you understand our store policies. We encourage you to read through this page as well as contact us if you feel
your questions were not answered below, or if it is product specific. We also suggest you read the listing you are
bidding on thoroughly. Remember we are here to serve you by providing exceptional products and services at
amazing values, we stand behind all of the products we sell.

About US

We are a merchandise liquidator, and receive thousands of items weekly from major National
Retail Chains, which are processed through our asset examination center. These items are retail
returns and overstocked items. Some products may have been opened, though the majority of
our items are BRAND NEW factory sealed or "Like New" items. "New" or "Like New" means
it may have been opened but are fully functional and cosmetically like new, or untouched/unsealed
with just the product box that is distressed. Open box items are tested and checked for all components.
Planet Overstock also offers from time to time refurbished or (very rare) used items. Item states are clearly identified in TWO places, in the product description and in the items headline/title.

We want our customers to know, Planet Overstock provides a broad array of merchandise you can
bid on with confidence. That is why besides our procedural steps above, we also go further and are
members of Square Trade as well as have a positive feedback rating which stands at 99% Plus!

What information should I include?
The more information you include in communications with us the better we may assist you,
especially reference your eBay auction # in any message. If you are emailing/calling us/visiting
us please make sure you included the aforementioned auction # and your eBay user ID.

 

Our Products

What do we sell on eBay?
PlanetOverstock specialty is Baby merchandise, although we offer a wide array of brand named
products beyond that, everything from consumer electronics to housewares! We receive returns
from many national retail chains. So stop by our eBay store frequently,  we add new merchandise
daily. You never know what you will find, but it is almost certain to be priced lower than anywhere
else!

Product Condition

What is the Condition of the Products We Sell?
The condition of the products we offer to the eBay community fall into two categories, which are
"NEW" and "USED". You will find the condition of the product for which you are bidding on in
the Headline/Title, as well as marked using the eBay item specifics tag.

When the "New" tag is applied it means the items range from never been opened (which
are the majority), to items that have Distressed Commercial Product Box, or may be an
Opened Box item. They must be of high quality or they wouldn't be marked as new or even
sold by us.

The "USED" tag is applied for items that have been used. These items are clearly identified
in the product description on our site.
 
Please note products marked as NEW may still have distressed comercial product boxes,
most of our customers throw away the comercial product box and find it is not an issue.


We take pride in delivering a quality product to your doorstep every time, which is indicated by
our 99%+ positive feedback and Powerseller status!  So you can bid with confidence.

So your items are Brand New and Sealed?
Most of the merchandise on PlanetOverstock is new and sealed in the original manufacturers
packaging. Some items are retails shelf pulls, meaning that they may have been opened but are
fully functional and cosmetically like new. Open box items are fully tested and checked for all
components. 

So the products status will be stated in the listing?
Yes the product status will be listed, the only thing we do not mention is if the Products Commercial
Box is distressed. We do not mention this as it has NO EFFECT on the product itself and most
customers throw the products commercial boxes(s) out.

So what does NEW mean?
New means the product is unused, but it could still be an opened box product. Open boxed product
means some one bought it, took it home opened it and changed their mind. In most cases the product
was not even removed from the packaging.

Payment

How do I pay for an auction that I have won?
The winning bidder receives an email with automatic links to our checkout process. This e-mail is
always sent to the e-mail address that is currently on file with your registration at eBay. If a day
has passed since the auction that you won has closed, and you have not yet received our winning
bid notice, it may have been sent to an old, outdated email account of yours. Payment is made through
PayPal, PayPal is the only electronic payment system we use. While we do accept money orders they
must be certified, although we still encourage you to use PayPal when possible.

I want to pay for this auction with a Money Order. What is the address to mail my payment?

You will receive this information in the winning bidders notification alert after winning an auction
and/or it will be provided during the checkout process.

Can I pay buy personal checks?
Sorry, we do not accepted checks.

If I win multiple auctions, can I pay for them all at once?
We send separate winning bidder emails to you for each auction that you have won. Each
email will contain a link to our checkout system. At the moment our system treats each auction
as a separate transaction, so you will need to pay for each auction individually. Although you may
contact us and inform us you are waiting to pay until all items that you have bid on have been
completed. Also by waiting and contacting us we can apply the multiple item shipping discount.

When is payment due?
Payment is due with in Three (3) Business Days (72 hours) of winning the auction, the only
exception are for people waiting for other items so they can combined shipping.

If payment is not received in a timely fashion we will work within the eBay frame work and it
will be marked as a dispute, eBay's Unpaid Item policy and eBay's User Agreement make clear
that buyers must pay for the items that they commit to purchase. Please note this action also
includes leaving negative feedback as well as an UNPAID item strike against your account
.


What do I do if accidentally type in the wrong information during the checkout process, and
something gets declined?

If you accidentally type the wrong information and the transaction
gets declined, go back and try to retype the information. You may need to contact us by e-mail
and we will help you resolve the problem. Please reference your eBay auction # in the email.

Shipping

How much is shipping for your auction?
All freight and handling fees are posted on the eBay auction listing. You will find shipping
charges listed to the right of the item picture. All shipping fees are calculated using a national
shipping carrier's public shipping calculator.

Do you ship merchandise to Canada, Mexico, Alaska or Hawaii?
We only ship products to street addresses in the 48 mainland United States, we do not make
exceptions. Please do not email us regarding this, as there are no exceptions.

Do you ship to PO BOXES, APO/FPO, Puerto Rico, or other U.S. Protectorates and Territories?
We only ship products to street addresses in the 48 mainland United States, we do not make
exceptions.  Please do not email us regarding this, as there are no exceptions.

Special note regarding APO/FPO
We would love to provide our products to the valiant men and women who serve in the Armed
Services, but due to reason beyond our control(logistical, carrier, tracking) we are unable to.
We continue to look for solutions so we might some day implement this option.

Can you ship merchandise to other Countries or continents if the buyer is willing to pay actual
shipping charges?

We only ship products to street addresses in the 48 mainland United States. We will not make
any exceptions and we will not entertain request for air-freight service to other countries. 

I would like to get this merchandise quickly. Is next day or second day shipping available?
At this time, we only offer ground service, which specifies 3-7 business day delivery time.

If I order more than 1 item, can shipping be combined and will there be a discount?
We offer a shipping discount on items that can be shipped together. We cannot combine shipping
on items that cannot be shipped in the same box. We reserve the right to determine when this
discount is used, in most cases when this can be applied it will be.

How do I proceed to receive this discount?
You must contact us and alert us to the fact you have multiple items won or pending to win, this
way we can apply the discount.

Where can I find a tracking number for my package(s)?

Unfortunately at this time we can not provide tracking numbers automatically or on demand due
to our carrier's system, but we are working hard to implement an automated alert system that will
provide you with a tracking number in the future. Most of our customers do not find this to be an
issue due to the fact items are shipped within 24 hours after payment is received and cleared
(Please allow extra time for weekend purchases or holidays). You can expect to receive your item(s)
within 3-7 business days of shipment, although in many cases our customers receive their package
much sooner, so a tracking number is not needed.

Shipping Insurance

Should I purchase shipping insurance?
We encourage all of our customers to do so, although it is NOT required. While the packaging
of your item is done with great care and high standards, there is always a chance something could
occur during shipping. While occurrences are rare, modern shipping companies handle huge volumes
and there is always room for errors.

Local Pickup

Is local Pick Up available?
Local Pick Up is NOT available unless stated in the listings shipping directions. We will not make
any exceptions. Again, Local Pick Up is only available in the rare cases where it is stated in the
listing.

I won an auction and it states "Local Pick Up", now what?

If you bid and won an auction that has a "Local Pick Up" tag then it means you live in driving
distance from our warehouse, which is located at "601 Murry Rd East Hanover NJ, 07936".
It also means you must read the following information below and on our other "Local Pick Up"
information page Here.

Is there a Local Pick Up Service Charge?
Yes, a fee is applied based on the items size. A $5 surcharge is applied for small items, a $20
surcharge may be applied for all Furniture and other large items. This surcharge is attached
to all items that are picked up. This was instituted due to the overwhelming demands of Local
Pickup, and the need to acquire additional resources that were bought/hired solely to provide
this service. When Paying by Paypal for a local pick up you will note a $5 dollar required insurance
fee, this is the pick up fee.

Return Information

What is the return policy?
We only accept returns when we have made a mistake, if you find this is the case you must
contact us with in 96 hours (4 Days) after receiving your item, so please check your item when
you receive it. If more then 96 hours (4 Days) elapses we reserve the right to deny returns.

What if I changed my mind?
We are sorry, we can not have a return policy that accepts returns similar in nature to a retail
store, you can only return a product if we made a mistake, or if there is something wrong with
the product (does not function). Any item returned is inspected thoroughly and check against
our records
, if a discrepancy is found we again reserve the right to deny the return.

Product Warranty

Do you provide warranties?
We do not provide "Warranties", although you will receive the product you bid as described
in the listing. Any further product/technical support may or may not be available through the
manufacturer.

Can I purchase a warranty from you?
We do not provide or sell "Warranties". Any further product/technical support may or may
not be available through the manufacturer.

Other

What if I won the auction but changed my mind, or I made a mistake/oversight?
We are sorry, if you won the auction and received the confirmation email we CAN NOT provide a
refund as the item will be shipped to you and you will be charged. To provide such amazing value to
our customers, certain well defined rules like this must be in place. If we accepted returns like a retail
store it would add to the price of the item and we would not be able to provide our products at such low
cost to you.

Again, if you bid on and win or buy an item from us, you MUST pay for it. If payment is not received
your case will be reported to eBay as a dispute and negative feedback will be left, which follows the
eBay framework. When bidding and or purchasing items on eBay you are agreeing to the purchase
contract set by eBay and the store you are buying from. You can find out more regarding this policy

The the product color looks a little bit different then it does in the listing, why?

Due to differences in display technologies and settings, the color of an item may appear slightly
different in person.

Buying to give as a gift?
Please remember that PlanetOverstock is a liquidator of Returned and Overstocked items, so a
products commercial packaging (The Box) may be distressed. This has no effect on the condition
of the product, if the tag says "NEW" then it is new, although it can still have a distressed box.
Most of our customers do not find this a problem as most people throw away the commercial
packaging (The Box).
