We can not stress more on the importance of reading the product description and understand it before making a purchase.
The trend is rising that more and more buyers do not bother to read the product description and base their purchase decision entirely on the photo they see in the listing. Photo alone is NOT able to tell the entire picture about the product. Buyers are reminded to always read the product description which will tell exactly what the buyer is buying.
The precarious way of buying based just on the photo they see should not become a seller responsibility. While a seller is responsible to place all the crucial information about a product in the listing, a seller should not be blamed if the buyer is not taking in the information.
Often a buyer complains that the photo does not show the actual size of an item. The actual size is all clearly stated in the product description. There is no way the photo in the listing can show the actual size. Different monitors with a different resolution will show the item in different sizes and not everyone set their monitor to the same resolution.
The purpose of a photo is to give a general idea how the product looks like. When an item is small, the photo is zoomed to show details. If a photo always has to show the actual size, details will be lost when the actual product is small and contains lots of tiny details while items bigger than the size of the monitor will have to be trimed! Imagine if a seller sells a car or a house, is it reasonable to have the photo showing the actual size?!
If a buyer is still unsure about the item even after reading the product description, he/she is welcome to send us a message to ask for further clarification.
