PIPE-LESS PEDICURE SPAS
Pipe-less pedicure spas are designed to help reduce cross contamination of clients. These systems use either one or two small motors that are attached directly to the tub. The motor cover can be easily removed, cleaned and replaced without tools. This system eliminates the need for pipes that are used in standard jetted whirlpool systems. The standard jet systems use a larger motor that is attached to the tub by a series of pipes. One pulls the water out of the tub to the motor which then forces it back out through the jets. This systems has a screen which must be removed for cleaning and requires tools.
PIPE-LESS SPAS STILL NEED PLUMBING
All pedicure spas have 3 (three) different water systems.
1. Supply Water - This is your hook up for fresh hot & cold water to fill the tub.
2. The Whirlpool - This is where the Pipe-less system is used. It replaces the
traditional standard jets and circulation motor which are connected together
by pipes.
3. Waste Water - This is the drain that gets the dirty water out of the tub. Some
installations may require a discharge pump. Please refer to that page for
more details.
PIPE-LESS VS. STANDARD - WHICH IS BETTER?
We have many clients ask this question, "Is pipe-less better than the standard jets"? The answer is yes and no! There are pluses and minuses to both systems. Pipe-less systems are not as strong and do not have the adjustability of standard jets. They are easier to clean and have a reduced risk of contamination in some cases.
The question that only you can answer is "What do your clients and market demand"? Does your competition already have pipe-less spa? Are your customers concerned about infections? If you answer yes to either then buy pipe-less.
BE AWARE - Pipe-less spas need to be cleaned and disinfected the same way as standard systems. Each manufacturer and State Board have specific PROTOCOLS which MUST BE FOLLOWED for all pedicure spas. |
