Dobbie and Puppy's hearts are filled with joy and they would like me to thank all of their loyal and adoring fans who made their dreams come true! Puppy would like to offer a special thank you to @danapixie (twitter ID) who relentlessly campaigned on his behalf within the twitter anipal community!
The race for the crown in these past few days has been quite intense between Puppy, Hoodwin, Dobbie Jones and Cedric on Twitter. Puppy and Dobbie Jones have promised to uphold the true Christmas spirit to the best of their ability and not gloat in front of the others.
Please rest assured that even if your candidate did not win the crown, they will receive royal treatment this Christmas day with lots of love, holding and a fine vegetable feast planned. Every guinea pig is always royalty at this house! Thank you to everyone for making the 2011 Christmas Mouse Campaign a lot of fun for all!

The naming of the Christmas Mouse on Christmas Day is our tradition of many years. Yes, I know that guinea pigs are not exactly mice, but humor us! They do have rather mouse-like faces and each year they all strive and campaign for this great honor! We have ELEVEN candidates (you can read about each of them below, scroll down under the voting widget)! You, their adoring public, will decide who wins the coveted Christmas Mouse Crown this year with your votes! This is not a mere photo contest- you are voting for the pig most worthy of this year's crown! (You can vote multiple times- voting limited to once every 24 hours- PLEASE do not ruin this contest by using vote cheating software!) The results and pictures of the Crowning Ceremony will be posted Christmas Morning!
Little Badger, General Support Staff
Little Badger got his name from the adorable brown patches around his eyes, making him resemble his namesake. I found this little one during my search for some of my dear friends who had crossed over but expressed the wish to return. I knew he was a different soul from the ones I was searching for, but I fell in love with him anyways. He was so scared when he first came to live with me that only Cedric could comfort him. As he grew older, he required his own pen right next door to Cedric. He enjoys perching on my bed in the evenings, overlooking all the pens for hours and sometimes appearing to even watch TV. He often sits in a basket by me while I work on the computer. 
   
Gabrielle the Guinea Pig, Director of IT (Information Technology) Gabrielle is quite an interesting little one. His name is pronounced like that of the Angel (masculine) even though I spell it like the feminine version. I have never seen a pig with such yellow blond fur! He has strong technical skills, which is much needed in our online business! Last year Gabrielle became very ill- he was limp and cold. I stayed up all night with him hydrating him and keeping him warm. In the morning he promptly went to his vet & was diagnosed with a UTI- all he needed was some antibiotic and IV fluids. Since this episode, he has become quite affectionate towards me, perhaps understanding better how much he is loved! He lives with Dobbie Jones who he definitely loves, although Dobbie's clinginess does get on his nerves from time to time! He also often spends time in Puppy and Gideon's pen, so you will see him on the Puppycam.
   
Gideon Shmeegle the Guinea Pig, Customer Care Specialist
Gideon Shmeegle has the kindest of hearts! He was the proud winner of 2009 Christmas Mouse Crown (beating Puppy and Cedric by only a few close votes) and he is shooting for a second crown this year! He is extremely cuddly, loves to kiss me and always purrs when held. Little Gideon spent the first year of his life battling a terrible infection in his neck lymph nodes that required two surgeries! He came through it like a champion to become a vibrant (albiet portly/plump) pig! He is a brave, loving compassionate soul who always makes me smile! He shares a pen with Puppy but gets along with the entire herd, which is rare for a male pig!
   
Dobbie Jones the Guinea Pig, Master of Crystallography & Quantum Physics
Dobbie has beautiful tortiose shell markings. He is gentle and sweet and greatly enjoys life in a giant pen with Gabrielle, whom he adores and always wants to be next to. He ponders the mysteries of quantum physics in his spare time. When the morning vegetables come out, Dobbie bounds and hops around his pen in extreme joy and celebration! He is the biggest of the pigs, and is the perfect teddy bear size for cuddling in the evenings! Despite his enormous size, he still lets Gabrielle pick on him from time to time. He is truly a gentle giant!
   
Hoodwin the Guinea Pig, Director of Security
As a young pig, Hoodwin has a lot of nervous energy hiding his sweet personality. He is a paradox...he is lonely when living in his own private pen, but attempts to start fights with any pig I put him with. I think he feels threatened. He is very concerned about appearing tough and in charge, but deep down he is just a bit insecure so I shower him with attention. He used to live with Puppy. Puppy was able to tolerate about a month of his nervous fighting behavior before he finally fought back and kicked him out of the pen. I hold him as much as possible to help him feel secure. Due to his fiesty personality, he makes an excellent Director of Security. To the best of my understanding, he is the same spirit as Hoodwin the First, who shared the Christmas Mouse Crown with Reginald in 2008.
   
Cedric the Guinea Pig, Quality Control Inspection
Cedric is perhaps the bravest guinea pig I have ever seen. He is a blue-eyed guinea pig, which is quite rare! He adores the ocean and delights in having his little paws dipped in it while the waves crash below. He is highly intelligent, and is known to wait until just the right moment when his mommy is distracted to hop off the bed and go exploring! He needs a little safari hat- it would suit his personality perfectly! He was the first pig in our house to show the others that Cecil, our rescue Husky dog, was friendly and not to be feared! I am inspired by his courage and his adorable little face!
   
Starbucks Pembleton the Guinea Pig, Director of Marketing (Marketing Genius)
Starbucks Pembleton is a stunningly beautiful pig, complete with a pedigree. He is a bit of a warrior, quite interested in asserting himself upon the other pigs, sparring and tussling. It has taken much time, work and patience but he has finally learned to enjoy cuddling with his mommy in between looking for battles to wage. Because of his intensity, he makes an excellent director of marketing, channeling all of his fury into advertising strategy!
   
Sebastian the Guinea Pig, Customer Care Specialist
Sebastian is a very sweet and timid piglet. He hides in his little pig house much of the day, but does enjoy being held and pet by his mommy. He loves to burrow under my hair and if I put him down, he will literally climb back up me to get to his favorite spot! Sebastian was very sick when I saw him in a pet shop as a baby. I feared that they would not give him the medicine he needed there (when I pointed out his illness, they said they would "throw him in the back") and so he came to live with us. He was better within a week of quarantine and antiobiotics. He currently lives with Reginald. Sebastian was given the position of Customer Care Specialist because of his sweet, thoughtful nature. He is always reminding me to think of others first! If you have a problem with your order, little Sebastian will be in contact with you to make it right!
   
Reginald the Guinea Pig, Director of Rodent Resources
This pig shows great talent and diplomacy. There is a wisdom about him that allows him to be an excellent manager of the other pigs at our company. In case you are wondering, the position of Director of Rodent Resources is quite similar to our own Human Resources Departments. It is Reginald's job to dispense wisdom and make things go smoothly at Puppy Love Jewelry. He is currently the youngest of the pigs (about 2.5 years old now). To the best of my understanding, he is the same spirit as the 2008 Christmas mouse co-winner, Reginald the First. He currently shares a pen with Sebastian.
   
Puppy the Guinea Pig, CEO and Mascot of Puppy Love Jewelry
Who doesn't love Puppy? He is such a character! He was the winner of last year's Christmas Mouse crown. You can see many pictures of him in my listings. He is perhaps my dearest friend in this life. I still remember the first moment I laid eyes on him and it was truly love at first sight! Puppy enjoys his international superstardom and is known for being a bit high maintenance which only makes him more endearing! He perches on me at night in bed when I curl up and watch TV and will crawl under the blankets to sleep on my tummy for the first few hours of the night. He signals he is ready to go back to his pen with a gentle nibble on my nose...a system he thought up! He lights my life with joy! Puppy currently shares a pen with Gideon Shmeegle, who has a tendency to gobble up the majority of their food. His twitter persona (@puppyaguineapig) lovingly calls Gideon "the porkling" from time to time! Puppy's career recently suffered a crippling blow when he failed to win an Anipal Academy Award on twitter. He is hoping to redeem his status as an international A-list celebrity by winning the Christmas Mouse crown two years in a row (something that no pig has ever before accomplished!)
   
Mouskin P. Alexander the Guinea Pig, General Support Staff
Mouskin is a delight to us all! He has such a loving and full of life energy that all of the pigs fought over who he would live with when he first came to us. When he was smaller, he was able to squeeze in between the bars of the pens and he would go from one to the other visiting everyone. Since he has grown bigger, he now lives in his own private pen but enjoys socializing with the other pigs outdoors and up on my bed. He has a kind heart and quick nimble paws. Sometimes when I look at his face, I am sure he is smiling! As a member of our general support staff team, he provides support and encouragement whenever needed.
