One of the beautiful things about gemstones is the wide variety of colors nature has given us. Here is a short breakdown of the basic gemstone colors to help in your shopping.
Often the easiest way to choose a gem is to choose by color. This way you can match favorite outfits, or choose colors that flatter your eyes, hair, or skin tone. or nail polish.
Black: Obsidian, Onyx, Jet
Blue: Aquamarine, Blue Lace Agate, Lapis Lazuli, Sapphire, Tanzanite, Turquoise
Brown: Agate, Jasper, Tiger Eye
Green: Alexandrite, Aventurine, Chrysoprase, Emerald, Jade, Malachite, Peridot, Tourmaline
Orange: Carnelian
Pink: Kunzite, Rose Quartz, Tourmaline
Red: Coral, Garnet, Ruby, Spinel
Violet: Amethyst
White: Diamond, Moissanite, Moonstone, Opal, Pearl, Quartz, Zircon
Yellow: Amber, Citrine, Tiger Eye
