Peak safety restraint systems are manufactured to stringent requirements and meet or exceed SFI 16.1 specifications. It is important to install your restraint system in the manner it was designed to maintain its integrity. All components of the seat belt (shoulders, lap, and anti sub belts) are designed to work together for maximum security and safety. Serious injury can occur if components are removed or omitted.
Belts should be replaced if involved in an accident, if there is any sign of wear or abuse, or after two years of use. Take care not expose belts to solvents, gasoline, or excessive heat. For the maximum life of your belt, limit exposure to sunlight and rain. The assembly should be installed so that the straps do not rub against any surface that can cause the webbing to fray.
Never compromise the strength and integrity of the hardware by bending, welding, drilling, or modifying in any way. NEVER CUT, ALTER, OR INSERT ANYTHING THROUGH WEBBING.
Racing seatbelts are intended for off road use only. They are not D.O.T. approved and should not be used for street use.
