Magnanni was started in 1954 by a man named Sebastian Blanco Aldomar. His small workshop consisted of 5 shoemakers and was located on the first floor of his house in Almansa, Spain.
Pascual Blanco Martinez, Sebastian's only child, starting his studies of shoe pattern and design at the age of 14. At the age of 16, he became the head designer for his father's company. Pascual started to change the orientation of the company to a more elegant style and labeled his new line of shoes "MAGNANNI."
Today, the factory is located in Almansa Industrial Park in Spain. It is a 7000 square meter facility with more than 200 full time employees.
Magnanni uses the best materials available in the market. Most of the leathers come from tanneries located in France, Italy, and Spain. Some of the more common leathers are deer, calf, sheep skin, as well as some exotic leathers (crocodile, ostrich, and lizard).
Magnanni adds exceptional value to its footwear through the use of BOLOGNA construction. This unique way of manufacturing was created to provide your foot with enequaled comfort and flexibility without sacrificing the elegant design of the shoe. Your foot will be wrapped 360 degrees with leather, as a glove to your hand, eliminating the cumbersome mid-sole and making each shoe tremendously flexible and comfortable from the moment it is on your foot.
All lasts are made by Magnanni. They have different lasts and widths for each market that they service. The last is the most important part of the shoe. Please check the measurements of each shoe that is listed here on eBay as each shoe may be made different from another style that you like.
