Combined Shipping Fees & Insurance for Ribitz's eBay Listings

FOR MULTIPLE ITEMS ACQUIRED THROUGH MULTIPLE LISTINGS:

USA Only!

ALL ITEMS ARE GUARANTEED DELIVERY IN THE USA! per eBay's policy

Pay all of your items together in ONE PAYMENT TRANSACTIONIf you pay individually where funds are transferred, then shipping discount doesn't apply.

My Shipping Discount  is:   The item with highest of the lowest base shipping cost and then ship each additional item for free*

For example: 9 patches that end within 3 days of each other and are paid for together would probably have a total shipping charge of $1.85.  Another example: 3 National Geographic Magazines/Books would be $4.95 if paid together. if the highest shipping was 4.95 on one of them - if 2 of them were $4.95 and the 3rd is $5.95, then it would be $5.95 for all 3.  Mugs, 1 mug is $7.95, 2 mugs is $7.95. 3 mugs is $7.95, if the highest shipping is $7.95.  If you had a patch with the base of $1.85 shipping, book is $4.95, and a mug is $7.95 - then it would be $7.95 for all 3 items.

Other Individual items may be excluded from the shipping discount.  - These items will be identified in their listing.  These are generally heavy items or item with extra special handling required.

Items can be combined that end about 10 days within one another.   I do file Unpaid Item Reports under the eBay Resolution Center about 14 days to 21 days.  Some items have automatic reporting at 15 days.   Most cases where I've had to file has been because the buyer's email filter's are rejecting my email.

Expedited & Standard Shipping: Items are sent either by USPS Media Mail, First Class, Priority Mail®, Parcel Post,  UPS (United Parcel Service), or by FedEx Ground (Residential & Business) or by another Private Courier.  Most of the items are sent by USPS First Class by default.  Books are by default media mail.   For the other forms of delivery, I generally will say in the listing.  In most cases items can not be picked up.

I reserve the right to pack and ship items together as appropriate even though you have paid separately.  I may not refund any shipping charges if this is the case.  I also may pack items separately if you have paid for them together.

If an item arrives and the recipient doesn't accept the package, and the item is returned to me than the buyer may be responsible for the additional postage back and forth.

International Shipping (outside of the United States) has an additional shipping, handling, and insurance charge based on your address / country. If paying by PayPal I accept funds in US Dollars or in Euros.  PayPal is fastest and easiest for international transactions.   For cross border transactions, I do not collect tariffs and duties directly. However, buyers maybe responsible for actual, applicable tariffs, and duties as requested by respective country laws.  In other words, you may  be responsible to your postal/government for duty tax that is charged in the destination country.  The buyer is also responsible that an item can be shipped to their country.  Italy and Canada has been my most troubled addresses.  If you are having the item shipped to a Canadian Address please be aware of Canada Border Services: http://www.canadacustoms.ca/import/postal-postale/menu-eng.html

Values over USD $2500.00. have an extremely delayed processing time due to regulation from the US Census Bureau that became effective September 30, 2008.

In most cases Custom Declarations are filed electronically and automatically when the item is shipped.  From my experience this has sped up delivery of the item.

The merchandise value amount reported to Customs is the amount of the items plus the amount of shipping.

If you have 1 item for international the shipping is the price that is quoted in the listing, if you have multiple items let me know and I will send you an invoice for a reduced shipping fee. Books and Mugs are very expensive to ship.  If the shipping is calculated way high please let me know to double check so it can be corrected prior ot sending.

If international buyers are using a US address as a proxy (i.e. friend).  Please make sure the address is the confirmed address in PayPal.

    "Service Transit Time"

Days are California Business Days and are not Calendar Days.  I am active in Scouting, which means some Fridays I leave at noon to go camping.

My Cut Off for Next Day is 1:00 pm Pacific Time Zone (eBay official time) - The worst case scenario is 2:30pm Wednesday and if a Holiday falls on a Sunday, or Monday, this, would make the "next day" a Tuesday.  Christmas 2005 and New Year's 2006 are these type of holidays.  For Standard, Expedited, and USPS 1st Class, Priority, and Media Mail, the cut off time is 12:01 pm.  Cut off time is 12:00 pm (noon) on Fridays.  If I am available on Saturday I will ship items otherwise Friday afternoon, Saturday, and Sunday items ship out on Monday.

The service transit times for Economy/Standard Shipping may be the same as First Class for small items and for Books and other media it's USPS Media Mail time.

    INSURANCE

U.S. Shipping Insurance: ALL ITEMS ARE GUARANTEED DELIVERY IN THE USA!. (see link below)

Covers loss and damages during transport of the item from me to you.  This may be from the carrier (like USPS) or from another authorized third party.   I typically use endicia.com  (Universal Parcel Insurance Coverage - UPIC), or the carrier's insurance (like UPS or FedEx).    If there is a problem with shipping, you agree when you purchase the item to co-operate with the paperwork handling.   Please note: "The amount of insurance coverage for loss will be the purchase price of the items.   No claim payments are made for sentimental losses or for any expenses incurred as a result of the loss." International Shipping insurance also requires that the insurance and shipping postage be reported along with the price of the item to customs.

    RETURNS

Before returning anything: All returns require prior authorization within 7 days of receipt of item before returning.  Instructions will be provided with the authorization.  Buyer pays shipping.

Some listings may be not be returnable such as Store using Best Offer , Fixed price using Best Offer, and Auctions with high bidder "AS IS." Unless the specific listing says it's returnable.  ALL listings are always guaranteed to their listings description including auctions.  Many listings have items that can be returned for any reason where the buyer pays the actual shipping back and forth.

If an item arrives damaged by the shipping carrier and shipping insurance was declined then the item cannot be returned.  Items must be returned in the same condition that they were sent from me.

If an item arrives and the recipient doesn't accept the package, and the item is returned to me than the buyer is responsible for the additional postage back and forth.

How does Ribitz pack their items?

Ü A Packing List / Receipt is sent with all items!

Ü Patches, Pins, Small Coins and other small light items are usually sent USPS First Class Mail in bubble mailers or boxes or standard envelope.  These are either white, gold, yellow, or box brown.  Most patches are stored in a re-sealable bag with or without a card.  Pins and Coins are stored in a plastic re-sealable bag.

Ü Books and Media are typically sent by USPS Media Mail™ but may be upgraded to First Class if they are lightweight .  Non-Media (i.e. patches, pins, coins, etc) cannot be combined with these are sent separately.   If you need or would like to upgrade to either USPS First Class, Priority Mail®, or Parcel Post™ please contact me.  Some Items are very collectable and media mail may not be suitable for them.   I've also ran into a couple of situations where I've had to split the media mail into separate boxes.

Ü For heavy items we shop around for the best shipping rates!  Items are sent either by USPS Media Mail, First Class, Priority Mail®, Parcel Post,  or by FedEx Ground (Residential & Business) or by a Private Courier.  Habitually most of the items are sent by USPS First Class.

Gift Services

Please inform me by a separate email or by phone if the item is a Gift!

Ü Packing List / Receipt - Usually I send a packing list that has the price, eBay listing number, userid, and some other information.
