We recommend this dog fence if your dog is over 30 pounds and is extremely stubborn or hard to train. The Stubborn Dog Receiver has five levels of correction plus vibration in the warning area for an added deterrent and a low battery light to let you know when to replace the battery. Level five on the Stubborn Dog Receiver is approximately 25% stronger than level five on the Deluxe Ultralight Receiver. Some breeds need the Stubborn Dog Receiver even though they may not necessarily be hard to train.  Our experience has found the Labs, Shepherds, Akitas and similar breeds often need the Stubborn Dog Rewithin the same fence. You may add as many receivers for dogs or cats as necessary as long as they are made by PetSafe.ceiver.  This is usually due to these breeds being less sensitive to the correction due to thick skin and/or thick fur.

 Standard Underground Dog Fence Kit

We recommend this dog fence if your dog is 5 pounds or over and trains very easily. The Ultralight Receiver has only one level of correction and does not have the low battery indicator light.

Premium Dog Fence

We recommend this dog fence for any dog that is 5 pounds or over. With five levels of programmable correction, this is our most versatile and advanced receiver. You can increase or decrease the correction to meet your pet's training needs. At level five, the Deluxe Ultralight Receiver is strong enough for most stubborn dogs. The Deluxe Ultralight Receiver also has a low battery indicator light to let you know when to replace the battery.  

Available with the same transmitter and receivers as the Premium, Stubborn Dog and Standard dog fences and the same guidelines apply. You would order one of these dog fences only if you already have wire installed in your yard.  If you are going to use one of these dog fences for a dog that has never been trained on your property, you should add Boundary Flags to your order.  You will need a flag every 10 feet for proper training.  You can get flags by clicking on the Extra Wire & Flags link on the next page.  You want to order part number RFA-2

If you want the added feature of Remote Training, you need the Contain and Train Dog Fence. You will have a remote that you can use to give your dog a correction.  This can be helpful for correcting unwanted behavior such as barking, digging, jumping up, etc
