All Vermeil Gold plated Silver items are solid 925 sterling silver plated with REAL Karat Gold  on the surface of the silver bead in at least 1 micron thick.

All 18 karat Gold Vermeil Silver items are plated with at least 1 micron of 18-karat REAL GOLD (with real gold content of 75%!!), NOT GOLD TONE METAL.  It is very durable and will not change colour easily.
