garment is in "new with tags" condition. You may find very minor
fitting-room wear such as missing beading, hooks or eyes, a minor seam
separation and/or dust around the hemline. This ordinary wear is
normal and should be expected. Dry cleaning may be desirable.
Very good: This item has
noticeable fitting room wear such as a missing button, bead damage,
a broken zipper or stains, which we disclose. This garment can be
restored with light mending and/or professional dry
cleaning.
Good: This garment has noticeable fitting room
wear, which we disclose. Most of the wear is reparable; some things like
a fabric pull or snag cannot be repaired. We do not offer garments in
this condition unless they are exceptional and the irreparable drawbacks
are easy to overlook.
We strive to accurately describe every item and
err on the side of over-disclosure. Any noticeable flaw that is omitted
is inadvertent or considered normal wear. Accepting normal and
correctable fitting room wear is the price you pay for these spectacular
dresses at deep discount.

Fit & Color
What size is this? The measurements
look too small compared to my dress size.
Bridal and
formal gowns are often 2 sizes smaller than career or casual wear. To
further complicate matters, there is no such thing as "standard sizing;"
every manufacturer designs to a slightly different standard. A Watters
& Watters size 10 is larger in the bust than a Lazaro size 10, though
they are nearly comparable in the hips. An Avanti mothers dress in
size 10 is cut fuller than a size 10 Jovani Prom dress.
How do I get the right
size?
When you know your current body measurements, simply
compare bust, waist and hip size to the manufacturer's standard size
chart. If the correlating part of your body is within the measurement of
the size chart, the dress is a fit.
For example, your bust measures 36.5" and the
manufacturer's standard bust size is 37" Perfecto! You're good to go. If
your waist measurements are borderline - a fraction more than 27" compared
to the manufacturer's 27" - don't expect the fabric to "give;" choose the
next size up. It's really better to purchase a gown a little larger than
you need and tailor it to fit where it's too big.
When it doubt, take current measurements with a soft tape
and email us. We are happy to help.
Do you have this in another size
or color?
Most of our items are one of
a kind. We post all multiples of a style or other sizes in our store when
they are available.
Can this gown be
altered?
All our gowns are designed to
be altered easily. We advise that you fit the largest part of your body,
then have a qualified seamstress tailor the rest to your unique figure.
- Bridal gowns generally offer a seam allowance of 1 to
1.5 inches, and can be let out approximately one size.
- Formals can be taken in; we do not recommend that you
let them out. There is very little seam allowance and the
stitchmarks will show.
What color
is it?
Some
variation in color from what you see on your computer monitor and what you
get is possible. Every fabric reflects light differently. Every monitor
"reads" color differently. Also colors are very subjective: one woman's
wisteria is another woman's lilac. Both are shades of blue. Ask before
bidding if you have a specific color in mind.
Do you have more
pictures?
We display all the
photographs that are available to present our merchandise. If there is no
back view, it looks like the front. When we do not show pictures of
drawbacks, they are too minor to photograph.
Do you have a store where I can try
on my dress before buying it?

Returns
What if it doesn't work for
me?
If you are dissatisfied with your
purchase, call or email us immediately - within 24 hours of receipt. You
may exchange merchandise at no extra cost for an item of comparable price
or for a store credit toward a future purchase. Store credits must be used
within 90 days. Purchases returned for refund incur a restocking fee. Read

What are your conditions for
exchange or merchandise credit?
Scarletts
Closet accepts authorized returns only. To qualify for an
exchange, store credit or refund, you must notify us immediately
and return the item promptly its original condition - with tags on -
and within 7 days from return authorization.
How do I get a return
authorization?
If you are dissatisfied with
your purchase, contact us within 24 hours of receiving your item. We
will discuss your options. Your authorization is the email replying with
shipping instructions. Items returned without authorization are
refused and returned to the sender.

Combined Shipping
I am bidding on more items; do you
combine shipping?
When possible,
Scarlett's will combine purchases made and paid in 5 days into
one shipment. Some wedding gowns must be shipped separately due
to U S Postal Service packaging limits. U.S. buyers save 25 percent.
The following tables are for example only. Costs vary by the weight,
destination, class of service and package size required for your shipment.

Will you combine shipping on wedding
gowns?
Due to their weight and volume, they cannot always
be combined into a single shipment. Alternatively, when they are, the
package may exceed U S Postal Service dimensional limits, thus increasing
cost. Depending on the gowns you purchase, we will give you the best
discount we can.
Are there any limits on combined
shipping?
No combined shipping on auction items that sell
for under $10.

Do you ship to my
country?
Scarlett's Closet ships to most countries
worldwide. We do not ship to buyers in Asia, Malaysia or Africa who have
fewer than 10 positive feedback comments or from international buyers who
have not made an eBay purchase in over a year.
Local Pick
Up
May I pick up my gown to save on
shipping?
No. Regrettably, Scarlett's
warehouse is not open to the public. Most local shipments arrive in 1
day.

Taxes
Is my purchase
taxable?
Purchases made by international
buyers and shipped to countries worldwide also incur duties or tax. The
State of Texas requires us to collect sales tax from Texas residents.
Who pays tax on my
purchase?
Texas residents pay 8.25
percent of the total price including shipping. International buyers are
responsible to pay any tax or import duties in your country.
Will you mark my international
shipment as a gift so I don't pay tax?
By law, we must document all our packages as commercial
shipments.
