My name is Alexandra, and I have established this store in 2004. I take pride in what I do and in my perfect feedback rating. I try to do my best to accomodate my customers and make them happy with the sale.
I specialize mostly in books. And since people often tend to buy more than one book, here are a few things you may want to keep in mind:
Shipping. I don't make money off shipping. My shipping fee is always based on a real cost plus about $1 for handling ($1.50 for international), just to cover my packaging materials and PayPal fees. Unlike some sellers in my price range, I welcome PayPal no matter how small the amount. However, with PayPal per-transaction fee currently at 40 cents + 3%, it does take a chunk out of a $1 book sale, so I figure this as part of my handling fee. Just wanted to be upfront about it so you'll know where the numbers come from.
I always combine purchases for shipping, to save you money, so before you click the "Pay" button to pay for that $1 book, consider buying another and have it added to the package for a little extra in shipping! Shipping is calculated by the actual USPS cost by weight + a small handling fee of $1.
And please remember to wait for my invoice if you are buying more than one item. I can only offer combined shipping if all items are paid for together on one invoice!
International Sales. I welcome international buyers and will gladly ship your purchases to Canada, UK, Western Europe and Australia. Although I normally don't ship to Asia and Latin America, I have done so on occasion, so please email me if you are interested in buying something.
With the recent USPS rate increase, many bargain services are no longer available. However, the flat-rate Priority Mail envelope is still a good bargain if you remember that more than one book can usually fit into it. As a rule, the flat rate envelope will accommodate two regular size hardcovers or four regular size paperbacks. If many instances, taking advantage of this makes it cheaper than regular airmail. EBay does not list flat-rate envelope among its shipping options, so you need to contact me about it. I will also need to have the list of books you intend to buy so I could ensure that they will fit in one envelope.
I do not guarantee that my books come from a pet-free and/or smoke free environment. Most of my books come from other people's homes and I have no way of knowing where they were kept, and I live in a tobacco state (Georgia) where many people smoke.
Feedback. I always leave feedback after it is left for me. Please do not ask me to leave a feedback as soon as you have paid. For me, the transaction is completed when the buyer has received the purchase and is satisfied with it. If there is a problem, I will do my best to resolve it to mutual satisfaction.
