Warranty and Returns
All of my X10 items I have for sale are unused and brand new in their retail packaging or box with instructions unless otherwise noted. All new X10 items bought from my auctions or eBay store come with at least a 1 year warranty unless otherwise noted in the item description. X10 PRO brand items come with a 2 year warranty.
I am an authorized re-seller of X10, X10 PRO, and Smarthome products which means that I can offer a valid warranty on products that you buy from me. So that I can provide you with better service, all warranties go thru me. Be wary of sellers that do not offer a warranty on their products as you don't want to end up buying something that ends up being defective. Sometimes brand new items are bad right out of the box or go bad in a few days. It inevitability does happen. With me, you won't be stuck with a defective item as I do stand behind the X10 products that I sell.

I have a satisfaction guarantee within the first 30 days upon delivery of your order. This is to prevent you from being stuck with something you decide that you don't really need, want, or just aren't plain happy with in how it performs. Unwanted (used or unused) items can be returned within 30 days for a refund less shipping and a 15% restocking fee. Returned items must include all the original packaging, batteries (if any), wiring, manuals, and hardware that the item originally came with. I will refund your purchase price of the item minus a 15% restocking fee. Refunds will be paid thru PayPal regardless of the method that you originally paid me.
I also have a free exchange policy for defective items in the first 30 days that you receive your order. You need to return the defective item to me first before I can send you a replacement. You are responsible for the shipping charges to return the item to me. You may want to insure it as I can't be held responsible for a lost or damaged return. You do not pay any shipping for me to send you the replacement item. After 30 days, you do pay the shipping for me to send you the replacement item. Within the 30 day trial period, the defective product must be returned with it's original packaging, batteries (if any), wiring, manuals, and hardware that the item originally came with.
As an alternative within the first 30 days, I can apply the full cost you paid for the item (defective or not) towards the purchase of something else. In this case, there would be no restocking fee. However, you would have to pay for the shipping since it's not an exact replacement. You must include all original packaging, batteries (if any), wiring, manuals, and hardware that the item originally came with.
The 30 days that you have to decide if you are keeping or returning your order begins from the day you actually receive your order which is indicated by the Delivery Confirmation Number of your package. If for whatever reason that the Delivery Confirmation Number does not show it having been delivered, even though it was, then the 30 day trail period will begin from the day your order was shipped. The 30 day trial period allows you to actually try out the product to see if you are really happy with it.
None of this applies if your order was lost or damaged in transit. That would be taken care of thru insurance that you may have bought when you paid for your item. If you did not opt for insurance, there's really nothing I can do for a lost or damaged package. Some folks like insurance and some do not which is why I do not require it. USPS has been generally excellent in getting packages delivered on time and in good condition but this is no guarantee.

Shipping charges are non-refundable either way under any circumstances.
All sales are considered final after 30 days from the time you receive your order. Of course your warranty is still in effect though.
