About Me:

My name is Shelly Saxton, daughter of RMCS(SS) Curtiss Gardner USN (Ret.). I started my business of designing coins to commemorate the decommissioned subs of the submarine service in February 2005. I originally designed and had made 5 coins to honor my Dad's sub service. They were the USS Trumpetfish SS 425, USS Nathanael Greene SSBN 636, USS Jallao SS 368, USS Pollack SSN 603 and the USS Haddo SSN 604. After offering the coins to other crewmembers of those boats the response was overwhelming and I have had many men ask me to create coins for the other boats they were on. That is how (SS) Challenge Coins came to be...
