Wire Kits:
It is always best to use heavy gauge wire...alot more is better
than less in wiring, why? With amps drawn, it will cause heat. If your
wires are too small the heat will burn the wires up. Amps are the killer
here. That is why do not overload the wires with too many lights wired
into one system. That is why it is better to run multiple litghts with
more than one wire kit, unless you are a pro!
One trick to do is....once your lights have been on for a while, simply
touch the wires to see if they are hot. Do not grab the wires at first
because you might get burned! Touch first to see if they are warm and
if you can hold them in your hand, then you are alright in most cases.
If the wires feel hot, then BINGO!!! You will need a bigger gauge wire to
disapate the heat. This is just a trick from a old timer, so be careful
if you are not a pro at it! Remember heat kills!
When wiring...if you can always go bigger, then do it! it will save
you from alot of problems down the road!
If wires are rubbing on metal, simply slice a chunk of garden hose,
then slice down the center, and use for chaffing protection and cable
tie down tight or something similar if you have no conduit.
If you can....always use bigger relays, switches, and wire.
What a relay does is keeps the current from burning up your
switch in one function....the relay opens some circuits, and closes
others....letting the voltage to and from and not letting it in where
it is not supposed to go.

I am not an electrition. These are things that I have learned
over the years. Just some tips to add to your own know how.
