Southern Salvage was established in 2003 from having been in the construction business and seeing first hand how rapidly new development was changing the look and feel of things around us. Quite often demolition of old structures was required-- much to our dismay. A love of the old south and all the beauty it possesses made it difficult to stand by while the ever domineering tractor raised it’s arm to smash the memory of places abandoned, but not forgotten.

Unfortunately, it is necessary at times to take down the old to make way for the new. So- we found a compromise and began salvaging the pieces of history that would instead be dropped into a dumpster. We locate and aquire houses, barns and other significant structures scheduled for demolition and reclaim the antique lumber and other architecural items and give them new life in another location! We offer our services and salvaged items to various historical societies, private individuals, and contractors.
