When I started Spa Sport in 2001 I was determined to offer high quality cyclewear at an affordable price. It was not an easy task.
The quality part was easy. I began competitive cycling when I was 8 and I know what cyclists need. I know that certain temperatures call for specific clothing and that's why we offer a wide range of winter accessories. I also know that style is equally important and that's why I design every piece with a "euro" feel. From the positive feedback I have received it sounds like our customers like the same.
The tough part was figuring out how to make my products affordable. The key to my plan was to sell directly to the customer. I eliminated the reps and retail stores to offer my customers factory direct pricing. Compare our prices and quality to leading manufacturers and you will quickly see the value in Spa Sport.
Thanks again to all my loyal customers and be sure to check the Spa Sport store often as I am always adding new designs to the collection.

I began racing in 1978 at the age of eight. By the age of 14 I was a Category 2 cyclist. In 1987, at the age of 17, I won the Bear Mountain Regional Junior World Championship Qualifier and went on to compete at the Junior World Championship Selection Finals at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO. That same year I was second at the Junior National Pursuit Championships. As a 19 year old Senior Category 1 cyclist, I won the televised Tour of the Adirondacks Stage Race. I competed with the U.S. National Team at the Tour of Greece, La Vuelta a Chile and the Thrift Drug Classic. I have raced across the United States and Canada competing in such prestigious races as the Tour of Texas (the final year it was an International Stage Race) and the Grand Prix Cycliste de Beauce. I am a three-time winner of the New York City CRCA Club Time Trial Championships and a two-time winner of the CRCA Team Time Trial Championships. In the Northeast I have won numerous "classics" including victories at the Chris Thater Memorial, Neslte Freehold Criterium, Oyster Bay Cycling Classic, New Britain Criterium, Great Neck Criterium and I am a two-time winner of the New York Spring Series - all in the Pro/Cat 1-2 division. During my racing career I had over 500 top ten finishes. I was the former manager of the elite CRCA/Breakaway Courier Team that featured top riders such as two-time U.S. Pro Criterium Champion Kevin Monahan and Tour of Ireland stage winner Adam Myerson. I guided the "hit squad" as I called it to countless victories including four podium appearances at the National Criterium Championships, two overall victories at the Atlantic Cup and a win at the Tour of Somerville. I'm currently the co-manager of the GS Mengoni USA elite amateur cycling team (www.gsmengoniusa.com). I am an active race promoter in the New York City area promoting 25-30 races each year. Since 2004, I have promoted over 100 bicycle races.
