"Spira Volare II, and Clarion II, both excellent running shoes. I"m an older runner 70 yrs. weight 165 lbs. Run 3 marathons a year, along with the usual 5, 12k's per year. Just want to say these are two excellent running shoes. I have more shoes,than most running stores.. tried them all.. In my 22 yrs of running these are the best..Too bad not many runners know of them.
Just to tell you how great these two shoes are. I run in them both. Ran a marathon in the Volare II.. no pain.. I am now going to run my next marathon in the Clarion II, which is a lighter shoe, and also feels great on long runs.. I heard that in the fall you will be showing a new shoe, which will be even lighter.. will be looking forward in trying also. Thanks for great shoes...."

"By my calculations, my Genesis running shoes have about 500 miles on them. With Brand X shoes at that mileage, I’m starting to feel some light soreness in my knees, and ankles – fifty-six year old joints tend to be that way! These were traditionally the subtle messages from Brand X shoes that I needed new shoes as the cushioning in the midsole was gone. This will be the first running shoe I’ve ever worn that will wear out the outer sole before the inner sole. I’m a 20-25 mile per week runner, 8-10 minute miles. The cushioning in the Spiras feels as good as the day I first used them. You know, I love sports cars. After running in Spiras, I feel like Brand X has the suspension qualities of a farm tractor, while the Spiras feels like the world class suspension of a good Porsche! Recently, due to a very bad cold and sore throat, I had to stop running for about ten days. When I started back in, a bit too exuberantly, I developed some slightly sore muscles, but not my joints – the Spiras really looked after me."

"My new Spira's just passed their first big test - the hills of San Francisco! And not only did they pass, they passed with flying colors!!! I went up and down hills, up and down stairs on hills and even up the stairs in my apartment building and I don't think there is a more comfortable, supportive shoe on the market. I'm so pleased to report that my first hill-and-stair-filled run not only was fun, it was a success because--- here's the best part---my feet and knees were happy! The shoes were great in every way-and the "hill test" proved to be a breeze--they took the hard work out of hill running--I love that!"

"I am a 31 year old male. I ran my first marathon last year and didn't do so well because my feet hurt 4:52. The problem was, I wasn't wearing Spira! So I tried everything and came to the conclusion that there was nothing out there that would protect my forefoot from the 26.2 miles of pavement, until I was at the Jacob Javitz Center for the NY Marathon expo. I saw your booth with Footlocker and tried them on and bought the Volare in size 12. The first time I ran in them WAS IN THE MARATHON. And my feet felt great! I took half an hour off my previous time and never stopped running the entire race!

Anyway, I plan to run in your shoes for a long time, but I hope you get better representation within the "Industry." So, I was not surprised when I read that in the March issue of Running Times, the testers whined about not being able to really test the spring technology for one reason or another - what a cop out. They are scared about losing ad revenue from the other BIG shoe companies.

I'm living proof that your shoes are great! I couldn't actually RUN a marathon without the pain on the bottom of my foot and I know a lot of other people feel the same way. "

"I was lucky enough to purchase a pair of the Spira Volare running shoes at the NYC marathon expo. Although I did not run in them on race day( I wish I had) I have run in them on 4 different occasions in the last 10 days. They are everything the sales person said they would be. I am especially pleased in the recovery my feet/legs make after a long run. I did a 10 miler on Monday, a 9 miler on Wednesday and a 6 miler on Friday and I am actually looking forward to my 20 miler on Sunday because for once my feet and legs are feeling fresh. I can only point to one thing that has made the difference and that is the Spira shoes. I am spreading the word to fellow runners and they are anxiously awaiting the arrival of these running shoes up here in Connecticut. I just thought you would like some feedback on your new product.

"My name is Kathy McCall and I stopped by to introduce myself at your booth at the Disney Expo... Your technology is absolutely amazing. Because of the Spira Genesis shoes and the spring in my step...I feel quite fine today !!

It's important to know that I did not train much for the Disney Marathon, having only done a handful of long runs but not putting in the disciplined training schedule I should have. Having never done a full 26.2 before, I was certain I was going to be walking most of the way.I could not believe as the miles were passing by how easy it was. From my understanding, sometimes novice runners end up taking a few days off from work because of the decapitating effects of a full marathon -- (run WITHOUT your shoes).
