PAYMENTS

We accept the following methods of payment:

• PayPal (preferred)
• e-checks and credit cards through PayPal. 
• NOTE:  eBay's new policies dictate that sellers can only accept secure online payments, so we are not able to accept checks or money orders any more!

SHIPPING

• Our preferred method of shipment is USPS First Class Mail, Media Mail, or Priority Mail.  Why do we like US Postal Service?  We are located in a very rural area, and have found that UPS and other carriers' shipments usually carry a "fuel surcharge".  At this time, with fuel being what it is, the fuel surcharge makes UPS and other carriers cost-prohibitive at our location.  The Post Office provides more economical shipping in almost all cases.  
• We always try to ship within two business days of receipt of payment via PayPal.  We will always communicate any anticipated delays in shipping, and PayPal will (usually) send you an email when your product has shipped, and any tracking number if appropriate.

Special Note about Shipping Greeting Cards:

Some of our customers have wondered why a 2 ounce envelope of cards costs $1.52 to ship.  Here's why:

Greeting cards are shipped in either a 6"x9" envelope, or small shipping box, depending on the number of cards being shipped.  To be able to quality for PayPal's Seller Protection Program, we must ship through PayPal.  One requirement is the purchase of delivery confirmation, which costs $0.18 per label.  In addition, to conform to the Post Office rules regarding delivery confirmation, the envelope MUST be 3/4" or thicker, in at least one spot (we accomplish this with a piece of virtually weightless styrofoam).  We also include a piece of lightweight cardboard to protect the cards in shipment, and a rigid envelope is also more costly than one that can "bend" around automatic processing equipment.  We take care in making sure your product arrives in perfect condition, so the cardboard and the piece of foam force hand cancelling, which means there is no chance of mechanical equipment damage. 

To meet all these rules and regulations, we must mail the cards as a "thick envelope", which is more expensive than a "flat". 

For example, a 2 oz. flat costs $0.59, but a 2 oz. "thick envelope" costs $1.34, plus the required $0.18 for delivery confirmation.  We charge a VERY MINIMAL handling charge per shipment, only to recoup the delivery confirmation charge and the cost of the mailing envelope.

WARRANTIES AND RETURNS

• Used and vintage product is shipped as-is, with no implied warranties.  Much of our vintage inventory is acquired at estate sales and flea markets or garage sales.  Therefore, we cannot guarantee that any vintage product has been in a smoke free or pet free environment, although we CLEAN all vintage products as appropriate prior to shipping.
• New products will be warrantied against defects in materials and workmanship only.  No other warranty is implied.  Warranties do not cover any incidental or consequential expenses.
• ALL PRODUCTS EXCEPT CARDS AND CROSS STITCH PATTERNS:  If you are in any way dissatisfied with your purchase, we will resolve the issue, either by product replacement (when possible) or purchase price refund.  Returns must be shipped within 14 days of receipt (unless otherwise specified in the product listing), in original packaging.  Please contact us at stumpfen@earthlink.net prior to sending any product back.  We cannot accept any returns without prior contact.  Note:  with any return due to a quality issue with NEW product, we will send you a pre-paid return label.  We stand behind our quality and our products!
• CARDS AND CROSS STITCH PATTERNS:  We have a considerable investment in licensing where appropriate, and restoration.  Due to widely available duplication methods, and to protect our investment, we are unable to accept greeting cards and cross stitch patterns for refund, however we will be happy to replace any card or pattern with the identical item in the event of shipping damage or a quality issue.  In such cases, Stumpfwerks Collectibles will send you a prepaid return label, or refund your mailing costs.

PRIVACY POLICY

Your privacy is as important to us as it is to you, and we certainly hope you feel the same way about us.  Stumpfwerks Collectibles will never sell, publish, or make available, to any corporation or individual,  ANY of your personal information, including name, email, address, etc.  All online transactions, including credit card purchases, are handled via PayPal, so we never see your credit information.  We like that, and we trust that you do, too. 

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

 We are committed to respecting our environment.  (As one of my favorite t-shirts states, "Save the Earth.  It's the Only Planet with Chocolate!"  Seriously, we use recycled shipping materials whenever possible.  We reclaim boxes and packing material from our local WalMart at no charge, and our handling charges are very low as a result!  (You may receive a unique combination of packing materials in your box, but they were all reclaimed and we use what we have!)  We ask that you reciprocate, and recycle or reuse any shipping containers that you receive from us!
